  1. なかなか快適そうでいいですね!
    只、明らかに日本の鉄道のノウハウがあちこちに見れて面白いやないw韓国らしいねw

  2. Your videos never seem to fail us no matter where you go. I can see why South Korea is lot different from North Korea.

  3. What a coincidence. Not only did the same DMZ tour last July but my first train journey was from Cheongnyangni -Yangpyeong on one of the new KTX trains. Did subsequent journeys from Yangpyeong -Gangneung on the new section via Pyeongchang (incredible engineering, which allowed the train to get up to proper speed) and also Seoul-Gyeongju on the older TGV style train. This vlog brought back happy memories (including the Starfield Shopping Mall tower in the distance – minute 10:15). New trains are very impressive and certainly an improvement on the older style TGV trains. Great wifi on board and the wireless phone chargers are such a good design. Many thanks for this – really enjoyed seeing it all again. 🇰🇷👍

  4. I get what you mean about the dingy under-concrete platforms at Seoul, although they don't look as bad as the Stygian pit that is the platforms at Birmingham New Street for which I hold a special hatred.

  5. Hello from South Korea. I had never taken this train since my usual route has original KTX train. I never expected my country is introduced on this channel! Enjoyed a lot!

  6. 2h for 200km is hardly high speed. this is just a average regional train. thumbs down for clickbait.

  7. I wish more trains had individual window blinds. It is infuriating when someone in a seat in front or behind puts the blind down and blocks your vied.

  8. I am really loving your Korean videos. More train fans should show an interest in South Korean trains!

  9. Very nice video but I did not like your comment on Barcelona Sants.
You' and a few other reviewers, expect that all stations will be old style, and those do have their charm, but most cities do not have ones or even if they exist (we have Estació de França) they're not always suitable or well situated to serve as a main station.
Sants was built in the 70's, it's not the most beautiful station in the world but is is specious, has all the necessary services and it's far more efficient and adapted to the 21st century as pass through stations are better for passengers than terminus stations and in a modern city train lines should pass underground and not divide neighborhoods with busy rail corridors (or highways). There is nothing wrong with train platform underground and I don't see the difference between a train station and a metro station (and I'm sure you don't want all tube lines and stations to be at street level). The station itself is about to get an extensive renovation, with a greener environment, exits to all direction and an extra floor (at the expanse of the car park) and more natural light but the platforms will remain underground.
On the other side of the city the new La Sagrera station, that will also serve high speed trains, is advancing, it will also have some underground platforms (the Rodalies trains) and some with natural light (high speed trains) but the most important thing is that most of the rail lines in that corridor that divide the northern neighborhoods from the rest of the city with be covered to enable free passage. A few days ago the new Sant Andreu station was opened which is part of this plan. The old station building will be used by the local community.
So, with all due respect, the lives of the people living in the city is a bit more important than spending a few minutes in an underground platform.

  10. Thank you for introducing South Korea high-speed train KTX-Eum.
    KTX-이음(KTX-EUM) is pronounced ii-eum.
5:00 These doors are designed for use on low and high platforms. 16:23
5:30 This electric locomotive is the 8200 series, and based on the German BR152 electric locomotive.

  11. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I was fortunate to have spent 9 months working in Korea in 1999. Loved the people. Loved the food. Once a week, I flew between Seoul and Yosu on the southern tip of the peninsula in Business Class. There was less legroom than in the Second Class on this train! Have you had a chance to take the subway in Seoul during rush hour? They use push men, like you see in Japan. I once missed my exit by three stops because I literally couldn't move, it was so crowded. But then, street traffic is even worse. It once took me 2 1/2 hours in a taxi to go 6 km. I eventually just got out and walked.

  12. Pity there's no other onboard catering but those trains look the business. Nice to see they follow the bullet train design of reversible seats.

  13. Reminded me of my '83 'bullet' train trip from Tokyo to Kyoto. We clocked at 160 kph. I was young and spent my time in the bar car drinking Saki and conversing with a television writer on his way to visit his parents.

  14. Nonstop Eurotrip: I find subsurface or underground stations a bit dingy.
New York Penn: You ain't seen nothing yet!

  15. Wonder how many phones are forgotten innthose chargers….? That Seoul stn looks alright…. largely due to ceiling height IMO.
Q: was the DMZ tour an organized group affair or solo…?

  16. I think Korea’s railway condition really restricted the speed, even though the trains are capable of higher speed. Trains need to share railway with metro in Seoul. The speed isn’t very high outside Seoul too.

  17. ~£19 for the newest high-speed train! How expensive the unreliable train services in the UK are 🙁

  18. I'm very happy to know that you've satisfied with the trip with KTX – EUM as South Korean! My favorite train in South Korea is KTX-EUM because of it's cool design and identity! And I think KTX-EUM is more appropriate to Korean Raiload Infra than KTX-1 and KTX-Sancheon(산천). Unfortunately, I've not used this fantastic highspeed train, I hope to get on this train in my winter vacation! Thank you for your great review about KTX – EUM before my first boarding. I'm looking forward to another review about the Korean raiload journey! 😀

  19. Wifi?also what was the average speed of your journey as it didn't particularly seem high speed more like higher speed.
