Cycle the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge – Shimanami Kaido, Japan!

The entire Shimanami Kaido one-way route is 75 kilometers, from Onomichi City in Hiroshima to Imabari City in Ehime, Shikoku, while crossing over six islands and six massive suspension bridges. The Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge is the 6th bridge before you reach Imabari. It is the world’s longest suspension bridge at 4,105 meters and straddles two smaller islands before connecting Oshima Island to Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture on Shikoku Island. If you are planning to visit Japan or presently live in Japan and enjoy cycling, the “Shimanami Kaido” is a must on your bucket list!

I earlier made a YouTube video about “The 10 things you should know before riding the Shimanami Kaido” as I made a lot of rookie mistakes. https://youtu.be/Stc7y4m9xOE
