  1. Love these “look-ahead” cruise videos !! Keeps the adrenaline flowing ! 😃

  2. My experience with Lauderdale, Port Everglades : Driving by car, you know ahead of time the terminal your ship will be at. So as you go through Port security, you follow signs to your Terminal. Right across from your Parking Deck (for your Terminal) are all the Porters waiting for your luggage. So you drop off luggage first (everything you are checking w luggage tags), then park. Once parked, you can easily walk to ship terminal for embarkation (with carry on if you have it). That’s the perfect world. If your parking deck is full (yes, circle, circle, circle!) and overflow open lots full (15 minutes either way can make a difference!), they will redirect you to other lots farther away , such as the Convention Center 2 miles away. You have already dropped off luggage, so that’s good … but now you must wait for shuttle vans to come get you, which can be a bit chaotic ,,, if you don’t remember to BREATHE. The shuttle vans will drop you off at your terminal. The shuttle vans may be for your ship or multiple ships, but everyone gets to where they need to be. On disembarkation, the ship (guest services) may or may not tell you – or know! – if a shuttle will be waiting for you to get you back to your parking garage. The shuttles most likely will be there. Worst case, you get a taxi or Uber. Tip : IF driving yourself, Eller Drive leading into Port can be BUSY, and if you are redirected to other parking and have to wait for shuttle, add 45 extra minutes to your travel plan for your scheduled embarkation time.

I did not know about park and ride options 5 mins away. But since I’m coming from Ga, I tend to overnight 2 hours from port and don’t have those options.

  3. The broadway shows on NCL are amazing! We saw Kinky Boots and Chior of man, worthy of a broadway ticket! 2 hour shows, not your 45 minute dance routine typical on cruise ships
