What is the name of the small town you were visiting? My cousins in Japan always tell me despite the aging population in Japan over the last 2-3 decades, and lots of young people moving into big cities for work while letting the small villages rot away, COVID started a big trend in the last 2 years where the younger people were starting to move out of the cities to go back to their hometowns, or just to small towns in general. Sounds like this small town is one such success story of becoming revitalized due to this new trend. Very heartwarming to hear!
