  1. Seven Dust is good. Another thing is make a mixture of boring acid and sugar placed in bottle caps. Place that in the RV bays and places where JJ and Hensley can't reach.

  2. Ants are no fun. I think the peanut butter and borax are a good solution. Or even honey and borax.

Also curious after all your research on pillows, what did you go with?

  3. We use Terro drops regularly, additionally we started cleaning with water and vinegar out of concern for potentially poisoning ourselves with cleaning products and as a result clean up after every counter use due to ease of cleaning. Maybe that contributed to our no ants on the counter this year but we were able to wipe em out with the 1st detection at the kitchen door base, using the drops. They circle around the drops and eat and go and go tell their friends who come and eat and boom, 2 days they are gone. We did the same at the base of our bathroom door. It is fascinating to watch them gather and go talking to each other as they travel back to the nest.

  4. My oldest Son is an Eagle Scout and my youngest is a Life Scout. Scouts is a great thing to get your kids into. The kids learn so many life skills and survival skills.
"Do your best and always be prepared."

  5. I found the best solution is borax, powdered sugar and water mix. Powdered sugar draws them to the trap, borax they take bake to the nest and feed to the family which kills them. The water makes it easy to mix and soak cotton balls put in different locations. Don't kill them , let them kill themselves

  6. There's a product called Home Defense you can spray inside and out and it's supposed to be safe for children and pets it works wonderful

  7. Some of them look like sugar ants, others look bigger. Some look like fire ants. Is there alot of sand where you are? If so they are in the sand. They also live in the trees down here in the South. They like to build nest at the base of the tree trunk in the dirt / sand. They are everywhere! We had them in SC and now in FL. We don’t have to many inside, but everywhere outside. Crawl all over the outside of the camper. Some also bite and leave little bubble blisters that look like a zit. We spray inside and out of the entryways and put traps near the doors, under sinks, etc, anywhere they can get in. You could also have a nest somewhere. Our neighbors have an older camper and when we pulled their awning out there was a huge nest under their latches. Good luck. There are a lot of suggested remedies on Pinterest, i personally haven’t tried any

  8. Two things, ants are hard to get ride of but if you keep feeding them they will die off. Mattress is so important for most of us, and you are so right every motorhome I've had I bought new mattress for it. Big Big difference in the sleep. I did not buy the one you bought as I love memory foam, but it's what ever gives you that perfect sleep!

  9. Amdro ant bait outside around each tire and stabilizer leg. Tarro ant bait will work for the sugar ants pretty well.

  10. I have not had ants as bad as you but I agree, I would try every bait product. I also swear by Lysol. I directly spray what ever bugs I’m rating to kill. Then I leave nothing on the counters.

  11. I love my mattress from Brooklyn Bedding!! I got mine off suite travels Jim and Kelly. It's the best bed πŸ›ŒI have ever slept in.

  12. Before we went full time RV we were part time tenting. We had a site that was infested with earwigs. They were all over in our tent ugh.
Another site was full of gray wolf spiders. 😳 at least one or two every night in our tent.
I love upgrading to RV living.

  13. Don't squish them the colony will send more to find the dead one. Get raid defense it worked for us this past spring. Also pour boiling water in any holes you see outside

  14. I call my nap.
    My 15 min power nap.
I need it every day around 3 pm.
Sometimes it's 15 mins up to 1 hour.
Take your nap. It's good for the mind, body and soul.
    Love you guys.
    Keep them coming.

  15. Look for a NEST. It can anywhere. We had ants on our boat. It turned out they put a nest in a sleeping bag we had stored.

  16. Holy Ants! I would have been flipping out! We love the Ortho Home Defense spray. We use this in our rig as well as in our sticks & bricks. It sets quickly which makes it safe for kids & pets, and it WORKS very well!!

  17. Why didn't you ask Mat about the mattress. I would have known about putting out ant powder as part of your set up to keep ants out in the first place. Sorry I watch a bunch of different channels, so I have heard a bunch of different things. Just trying to make sure I have all of my bases covered before I start RVing.
