Today, we will go to walk around Omontesando~Harajuku Area.
Omotesando street which placed near Harajuku and Shibuya area is one of the most popuar shopping streets, and also popular for winter illumnation event.
The 1.1 km street is lined with 150 Zelkova trees which are lightened up with approx 90,000 LED lights in champagne gold colour during Christmas season.
Hope you like the Omotesando Illumination with over 900,000 lights wound around the trees.
Walking down the Omotesando Street, you will find a small alley appears on the left side.This half-mile long street lined with stores ranging from vintage shops is Cat Street. Most of the shops were closed because it was too late, so I want to show you this street later.
After walking around the Cat Street, we will go back to the Omotesando Street again to get to the Jingumae Crossing.
We will look around Tokyu Plaza Harajuku and see the beautiful Christmas Illuminations at its rooftop garden.
Omohara Christmas Illumination event is held for celebrating Tokyu Plaza Omotesando’s 10th anniversary.
You can enjoy a warm winter picnic surrounding 20,700 lightbulbs form a starry forest with Starbucks coffee there.
Then, we will go to the Omotesando Hills where you can see an artistic Ballon Christmas tree named “floating balloon tree of light.”
This Christmas tree is all hand-arranged with 14,000 balloons by the artists.
The last place we go is the Chapelle Des Anges Minami Aoyama.
I thought it is church, but it was just a wedding hall. I was a little bit disappointed, but it was still a beautiful place.
