More Japanese travel tips is here! https://www.youtube.com/channel/liljapan

——————————–

“Gacha-gacha” is also called “Gachapon” or “GACHA”, it’s a type of vending machine, it dispensed capsule toy randomly. I remember back in my days there kinds were only a bouncy ball or a lower quality toys. But recently experiencing a resurgence in popularity in Japan, targets the adult population. Before, it usually only cost 100yen or 200yen, but now there are 400yen and even 1,000yen now. These ‘high value’ gacha-gacha contain items such as high-quality miniature figurines, scale model cars and trains, useful and playful office desk supplies, to name a few.
This time, I got the some kinds of Gacha-gacha prizes and compared with the real items. These are high quality miniature items, it represents the dexterity of the Japanese.

One of the famous building in Ikebukuro is The sunshine 60 building.
OK, let’s start open and compare the real items and Gacha-gacha items.
The first one is this. This is Japanese “Taiko” “Taiko” means drum, Japanese drum. Five variations of colors, this one is silver, other variations are all metallic color. Silver is good, but the metallic color is also good. This instruction says, this drum can make sound really. shape is good, but sound is…mmm.
next one is this. Advertising truck running in Tokyo. There are 5 types of advertising truck, this one is red. Switch on, and lirht is on.
Next one is this. This is crossing gate There are 3 types of signal models. The bar can go down as same as real one.
This is the door bell chime for entrance of house. Pull back , and, push this button, ruunning. “Ping-pong-dash” in Japanese means ding-dong-ditch. ping pong dash in japanese means ding dong ditch. you know, ding dong ditch is a children’s prank in which a doorbell of a home is rung, and then the pranksters run away before the occupants of the home open the door. it means, push the button and run away. about this toy, also push the button and run… This means kind of joke.
Yamazaki is the name of famous bread maker. Small characters in Japanese. This is the copy of real bread. This is awesome.
“Kurohige kikiippatsu” game is named pirate pop-up game or lucky stab game in English. How to play this game is Insert the pirate into the barrel, turn the pirate few rounds. take turns slide in the sword into the barrel,. The game is over when the pirate pops out.
This is remote controller for karaoke machine. “DAM” is the name of karaoke machine. It also have a karaoke microphone. Small and detail is very nice.
This is a flagpole. Real flagpole maker named Sun Pole was born in 1970 in Hiroshima pref. They make flagpoles and car stopper poles. It called “Piccolino” kind of famous for unique shape of car stoper pole.
These are all rice bowls. pork cutlet bowl, pork steak bowl, tsuna fish bowl. Here is shrimp tempura bowl. This is not only a bowl. Shirimp tempura ring. This is cute.
This is a train interior. Train seat interior. This is the seat. This is for grabing while standing in the train. And this area is for putting your bags. Under the seat, here is the heater in winter.
This button is used in the bus. When you want to get off from the bus, push this button and tell the driver you want to get off.
One of the strength of Japanese people is their manual dexterity. I think Gacha-gacha items shows this.
