Air France is an airline which certainly has its critics. Maybe…they’re a bit stuffy. Maybe…their service is a bit formal. However, sometimes sticking to tradition has its upsides – Air France produced a superb experience on this flight to Washington DC. Transatlantic business class is super competitive, and Air France put excellent service front and centre along with an ambitious and fabulous meal offering. Enjoy the video!

  2. I was on AF from LAX – CDG – LAX the other week. In business. Very impressed by the food and service. Blew my mind when I was offered an expresso after dinner. With a great Calvados to match!

  3. ROFL Chartreuse is incredible. Typically made by monks. I visited the Chartreuse monastery when I was 11 ( sometime in le last century lol) green chartreuse is the strongest liquor available to buy, but they have many more, the eau de noix is incredible. Enjoy ☺️

  4. I’m so curious to know why where you in Budapest and why did you need to go to Washington DC. I know it s not the point, I m just curious

  5. 7:37 Hi Paul… What would you do if the AirTags show that your bags are elsewhere in the airport? (ie not onboard)?

  6. I am glad that they updated those people movers at Dulles. It's like whomever was the original architect really liked science fiction and wanted to build a lunar base as an airport complete with stupid lifted vehicles. I wonder if they can jump over a row of baggage carts if you had a ramp.

  7. Great video Paul! Loved seeing Air France 🇫🇷 on their A350 Business Class! Also the FOOD! WOW! 🤩 It looked delicious 🤤 and I cannot wait to fly Air France 🇫🇷
    Cheers Mate 🥂

  8. Michelin star??? Really??🤷🏻‍♂️ Ex west coast RT to CDG this past July on 777-200 in Biz class and the food was MEH👎. I thought it was Y+ kind of meal just plated separately. Planes were old & dirty and service mediocre. Now the goat cheese was amazing + the wine very good.

  9. Do more busses, yes! And trains. We are taking our first trip to Europe (Rome) next year for a cruise. Never been across the pond before. Your reports certainly help.

  10. Any plans to fly on the A380 or 747-8, now that carriers are unretiring them due to high widebody demand?

  11. Chartreuse is best as a cocktail ingredient, I agree! Indeed, my favorite cocktail involves it, the Naked and Famous, which is equal measures mezcal, chartreuse (yellow is best), bitter (Aperol is best), and lime juice. Good call Paul!

  12. As I read this, Paul, I'm sitting in the small lounge in the K zone at C de G, off to San Jose in the front end of a 350 a bit later. You've wetted my app for the trip. Thanks, as ever for your very interesting stuff

  13. Never drunk Chartreuse on ice…..always above ice in the Alps…..great digestive after a long lunch!

  14. CDG is a nightmare, used to fly all the time through there from Manchester down to Montpellier on business, I've lost count the amount of times (mainly on the return leg I grant) where I had to run through Terminal 2 to change piers to get to the Manchester flight! kept me fit though lol 🤣

  15. I love Air France and have flown many times with them. Since the 1980s. Let the haters fly off on Ryan.

  16. Nicely done Paul. Thank you. I always plan on no less than two hours for connections so I don't have to be one of those poor schlubs running through the terminals. My strategy has worked well so far. On 350's, I love Singapore's because they have a 16 seat business mini cabin that gives me a feeling of exclusivity. And on the liqueur experimentation, yeah I tried that once by saying "I'll have what that guy is having." To this day I think they drained the fuel tank into a glass and served it to me. Never again.

  17. i dont know why i torture myself with these videos…
i work in aviation (maintenance) and travel shit tone. Writting this from singapore, while i live in europe. But the freaking company i work for allows only economy flying, no matter the length of the flight. and then i come and watch these videos and only dream of what a comfortable 12 hour flying could like…

  18. Great review Paul! It’s been over 20 years since I’ve flown Air France, but this review makes me want to fly them again on my next trip to Europe❤✈️

  19. Flew AF A350 Y class across the Atlantic last month. Beautiful airplane, love the free wifi messaging. The food was average but you can tell their professionalism is there.

Switched to a domestic flight after, and the cabin is night and day. Services are still professional and good but the domestic cabin was outdated, dirty…

  20. Paul, I totally disagree with the perception by some people that Air France is stuffy and too formal. Recently used their Business class product CDG to GRU an 11,5 hour flight. Service and food were the best I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve flown many Airlines) comfort up there with the best. On top of that I got a great deal, far better than what B.A. were offering me. Maybe I was just lucky, however I’ll know soon enough because they are now my first option. Thanks for your video.

  21. i'd rather have more choice on the menu for starter and dessert then that fancy menu

  22. Amazing, you seemed to have neither an accident nor an incident that you were aware of

  23. Woo i had a very similar flight but it was absolutely the worst food I've had on a business class flight. That being said their service was good and the plane is great. Our food was just very disappointing.

  24. Really like your no nonsense no waffle videos. I have only travelled with Air France once, Manchester to Paris and that was firmly in the poor service category but it was economy so my expectations were not high. The business class long haul does look a very different proposition though. I have a trip planned to Toronto next year and will investigate going to Paris first and flying from there.
