Mt Takao is a Tokyo’s mountain that is one hour from Shinjuku station in central Tokyo.
Because of the easy access from Tokyo’s city center, and the temple on the mountain, it’s a popular destination for an easy hike or to enjoy a day in the nature and temples.
Since it was introduced by Michelin travel guide book, it became a popular destination among international tourists too. It can be super busy on the weekend, so I’d to show you how to enjoy more when you need to visit on the busy day.

At least the stairs were flat and equal size, have you climbed up Mt Misen on Miyajima. These are stairs to make you groan. 😅😅
i went yesterday, saturday and it was very busy! I went early in the morning but by 12pm there were long lines for lift and cable car.
Is it be open in winter?
