M:Good morning, David.
D: Good morning, Maple.
How are you doing?
M: Great. How are you?
D: Good, thanks.

M: I’ll miss this view.
D: Me, too.

D: We’re going to Shibuya today and then we’ll board our highway bus at the Shibuya Mark City department store.
M: Alright. I have to pack my stuff.
D: Make sure you have everything.
M: Okay.

D: We’re in Shibuya now.
M: Wow, so many skyscrapers!
D: Yeah, they are new buildings.
M: Is it also your first time to see them?
D: Yeah, it’s been a long time since I last came to Shibuya.
When I came here around 15 years ago, I didn’t really come to this side of Shibuya. It’s changed a lot.

M: By the way, I see a lot of people in this area.
D: Right. From long ago, this has been a place where people have been hanging out.
M: It must be a fun place.
D: For sure.
We need to get on the highway bus in an hour, so we don’t really have enough time to go around Shibuya.
M: Oh, that’s sad.
D: We can come back here another time.
M: Sounds good.
D: Since we will get on the bus in the parking lot on the 5th floor Mark City, why don’t we go to a cafe on the same floor while we’re waiting. As far as I know from the internet, the atmosphere of the cafe is really good, and you can see the Shibuya scramble crossing from up there.
M: I often see that crosswalk on TV!
That would be very exciting.
D: Great. Let’s go there and have a cup of coffee then.

D: We’re at the Shibuya scramble crossing, and that’s Mark City, where we will board the highway bus.
M: Cool.
D: And look. That’s Shibuya 109. That was the busiest spot a few years back.
I’m happy that it’s still there.
M: What can you do there?
D: It’s a shopping mall for young people.
In the past, Shibuya was said to be a place for teens because young people always gathered here.
After a big redevelopment, it now seems to be visited by all generations.
I hear that Shibuya is still in the middle of that redevelopment.
M: That’s thrilling!

D: This is the cafe, and it’s actually in Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu.
M: Gorgeous!

D: In the back by the window, you can see the view of Shibuya.
M: Wonderful!
D: Look. People have started to cross the intersection.
M: This is exactly what I’ve seen on TV before.
D: Yeah, this is really cool.

M: The coffee looks elegant.
D: It’s very fancy.
Let’s enjoy the coffee, and then we should head to the terminal ahead of time.
M: Yep, we can’t miss the bus.

D: Now, we’re leaving Tokyo.
M: I’ve had an awesome time here for the last 5 days.
D: Same here.
Do you remember what we did?
M: Oh, why don’t we look back at what we did?
D: Sounds great.
On the first day, we took the highway bus from Hamamatsu to Shinjuku.
M: Oh, yeah.
Then, we took the Sobu line to Kinshicho, right?
D: Uh-huh.
Do you remember the name of the hotel we stayed at that night?
M: Moxy Hotel?
D: Good memory.
And then we had the Chinese noodles.
M: Yep. Yopo men, right? It was spicy, but it tasted really good.

D: On the second day, we visited one of my friends in Harumi.
M: That’s right.
He and his family showed us around Harumi.
D: Yeah, we went to a traditional Tsukudani shop.
M: Uh-huh. That was so cool.
D: Then, we walked along Sumida river and then we went to Tsukiji for Monjyayaki.
M: Yeah.
After that, we had a Halloween party!

D: The next day, the family took us to an excellent Italian restaurant where we could enjoy seafood from Toyosu market.
M: Everything was so good there.
D: But the weather was unfortunate, so they took us to Nihonbashi and we enjoyed the department stores there.
M: Right.
Mitsukoshi’s entrance and interior was gorgeous (?).
D: Absolutely.
Then, we stayed at AC hotel in Ginza.

D: The 4th day, we had lunch in Tsukiji.
M: Right. The fish was good and fresh.

D: Then, we walked to Kioicho where our last hotel was.
M: Staying at the hotel was like a dream.
D: Yep. Overall, it was a flawless trip.
M: Also, we had really nice Sicilian cuisine for dinner.
D: Yeah, it was super!
