EXPLORING KOBE | Kobe, Hyogo

I wrapped up my Kansai trip with a couple days in Kobe.

We started out in Kitano Ijinkan – an area with historical foreign houses. We went into the Weathercock House, the Dutch House, and the Starbucks. We took the ropeway up to Nunobiki Herb Garden. It was pretty big with different themed gardens. It’s also a great place to take photos over the city. We finished off day 1 at Harborland and Chinatown.

Day 2 was all about visiting the Kobe Earthquake Museum (technically named The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Memorial Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution). It’s a great place to learn about what happened in 1995 and how the city built itself back up.

Much love and happy travels
