The ash rising from Sakurajima looked like a cloud factory, and the bay centered on Sakurajima turned into a shimmering gold with changing colors. Kagoshima was still warm and autumn had just begun, but in the northern areas and mountains, the dew had turned to frost and the mornings and evenings were beginning to get colder. The mountains are tinted with autumn leaves and the season is full of colors. The next solar term is the first day of winter, which means we are already at the beginning of winter.
Sakurajima is an active volcano complex of two volcanoes, Kitadake and Minamidake, and is a rare volcano in the world (1,117 meters high) that is still emitting smoke and ash even today. Currently, Sakurajima can be accessed by land.
