In November, dozens of shrines in Tokyo hold two (or three, depending on the year) events called rooster fairs. At these events, decorated rakes are sold as good luck charms. Everyone wants a bigger rake in hopes that their company or store will prosper. Among the rooster fairs held in mainland Tokyo, Asakusa Otori Shrine and Hanazono Shrine are very popular.
