  1. When Kyde's legs just gave out I felt for her so bad. That happened to me hiking in the mountains. lol Nord had to carry my pack the rest of the way to a campsite.

  2. The ride up the mountain looked brutal… thank goodness that nice man came in with the assist. Can't wait to watch the rest of the series!

  3. "We don't want to wake up and those be stolen, but I kinda do because no uphill".

    I love Kyde's honesty here.

  4. A few years ago, when I rode a bicycle for the first time in a while, my butt died in about 3 hours.

  5. *Side-to-side smacks le bot up* Yikes! Bike seats chow down on my poor flat tush. Thank you for both enduring the hard slog and knowing when to get an assist. Lovely content as per usual. Down with the algorithm!

  6. I thought that you would take Koshukaido(Route20) watching the Intro. Now I understand you took the Southern route. When I worked for a company in Gotemba, I rode a motorcycle from north Kawagoe to Gotemba via Hachioji and Fuji-Yoshida on every weekend. I sometimes drive to Atsugi and Chigasaki where my relatives live. So I am curious about the route you took and how it goes.

  7. You guys always have interesting journeys, thanks for sharing! I've followed countless Youtubers in Japan over the years, you guys are the only ones still making interesting videos.

  8. Hi Kyde and Eric! My wife and I also live in Japan and have had similar adventures to yours, which is why I appreciate you sharing when things don't quite go to plan. In the moment it can be frustrating or embarrassing, but often we remember those moments fondly later on and how you got through it together. Thanks for making these videos, and we love seeing such a similar experience of two Americans living in Japan.

  9. Recumbent bike/trike upgrade? No butt pain, no arm pain! Plus you can just sit and relax if you're too tired

  10. I know I can watch these early via Patreon but for some reason, I like waiting until they're made public on Youtube. You don't know how excited I was to see this video in my subscriptions- no other good videos this morning- cause I woke up an hour early thanks to daylight saving haha.

  11. I love the cuts between the live stream and your regular video
it does help fill in the gaps, especially if you missed the Stream!

  13. so glad kyde did not get hurt. she shouldnt be embarrassed and keep in mind all people who watch this, are unlike her, just on a sofa or in front of a computer.
so much kudos to her, for being on a bike!

  14. I think you "bonked" which happens when getting low on fuel when biking, just eat, drink and rest and you will recover.

  15. That second day was brutal Im glad you are both ok. I bet that onsen felt amazing on your sore legs and backs eh? Looking forward to seeing the next one.

  16. Been excited for this series! Watched your live when you had the delicious ramen. πŸ’šπŸ’š
