The prefecture of Wakayama is home to OTO MATSURI “baptisms by fire”, the Nachi Fire Festival and other things to do when you visit Japan.
Come join us as we stop by along Wakayama City and witness the wonderful Festival of Songs. Performing Ancient Japanese Songs and more just right in front of the WAKAYAMA CASTLE (Japan’s (和歌山城, Wakayama-jō).
For most of the Edo Period, it was the administrative center of Kishū Domain,
built in 1585 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537–1598), which was controlled by a cadet branch of the Tokugawa clan.
