At 14:15 — They likely eat Mr. Ed (horse!). They eat raw horsemeat over there, as well. Oof, not my scene at all!
Yakitori places are good to eat at, and so are Izakaya spots which serve delicious deeply-fried food, such as… sliced avocado!
Wearing masks outside is so dumb, don't you want to breathe in air without it begin blocked. Outdoor spread is basically not a thing. Even indoors doesn't do much especially with cloth and surgical masks. Tokyo looks like an awesome place. Looking forward to you exploring the country.
People love those useless masks over there
Wearing masks on the streets what the hell.
Do you recall what is the sauce that they put on the oysters, at the tail end of this video Gabriel?
Looks kind of mustard-y doesn't it?
I simply love Japan it's very clean, the people are respectful and it's very safe.
Too many people everywhere ๐
Watching your travels makes me realize how big our world really is
Been there and done that, a long, long time ago. Thanks for the memories..Visit Nikko and Kyoto, don't forget.
Landing to Japan this weekend for the first time in 3 yrs. I know things have changed but Iโm so stoked!
Gabe, please tell your lovely, nice British friend, the one married to the Greek man Christo, that I will be happy to resume contact with her once I have made a decision about which neck gaiter I want and what patterns and colours the thing should have on it. Thanks so much! Your friend is ever so polite, nice! ๐๐
How did the oysters sit with you? You are very brave!
That camera panning was making me dizzy ๐ต
Japan.. Very beautiful ๐๐๐
๐๐๐ Gabriel, we were happy to hear shout outs to you on Harald Baldr's new blog from Oaxaca! All the best to you!
This is my favorite city visit of them all…..really enjoying the walks around Tokyo.
If you want to stay in Shinjuku I recommend the Godzilla hotel, Hotel Gracery. Iโve stayed there, nice hotel, very clean and a good price, lots of restaurants and shops in the building, and a cinema, itโs close to everything! Plus the building is actually built around a giant Godzilla! I love Japan so much Iโm really enjoying this series!
I see Muji! Great place for inventive travel stuff (also found in Paris and London and elsewhere no doubt )
what a mess
The weather is great๐๐
Tokyo's charm is at night. During the day you can stroll through parks and shrines, and at night you can walk downtown. Frankly speaking, Tokyo by day is a city of garbage. But at night, it changes 180 degrees and becomes an attractive city. Besides, it is safe for women to walk alone.
What's with all the people wearing masks?
Seriously? Youโd never eaten oysters before?
๐คฉ
I was in Tokyo Dec 2019 (before covid officially hit) and I was quite surprised how any locals were wearing masks. On the metro 1/2 wore them, and outside a few. I remember even googling why they all wore masks, one of the many reasons listed was apparently due to pollen.
Tnx4sharing actual view of Tokyo Street and its Red Lights District. Interesting to watch till the end. ๐
awesome video! Japan is high up on the travel bucket list! cant wait to see the rest of the Japan trip!
i always appreciate you slowing down and at least panning the camera over nerdy/anime stuff haha – nerds like me appreicate it!
Happy Halloween! Great Job love the videos. Cheers!
All Japan vlogs are extreamly interesting๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ป
Excellent crawl… the place is so clean it's amazing how respectful the Japanese are. There's also a 3-D dragon somewhere in Japan maybe near the cat.. or is that China?
is it mandatory to wear mask?
Hey Gabriel, I like the way you shoot your travel video, make me wonder how good will your video be if you travel to China. Will you go to China one day? I like to see how you feel about there and how China really like through your videoas.
Also, China is quite underrated that there arent many youtube traveller who travelled there. Hope you can shine a spotlight on China
๐Gab just got a shout out from Harald Baldr in Mexico after a long absenceโฆ at 29:39 he was going to walk down a colorful street and said, Iโm going to activate the Gabriel High Roller Traveler Camera Mode as I wonder down the entire street๐๐๐๐
Shinjuku is definitely noisier and even dirtier or I should say less clean than the other parts.
it's sad to see all those people still wearing masks that do not work.
Thanks for sharing but so far for me I have not seeing anything that would make me want to visit Tokyo
Cool!
Good time for americans to visit japan due to the exchange rate.
