NOT a Belgian Influencer!

As suggested to me, I’m keeping my electric motorcycle clean, which is not so easy out on the road every day but I will try my best. I’m in Belgium now, crossing the border without even noticing…gotta love the European Union. Not loving the traffic even though it gives me a great mileage (for Eve standards with the broken battery) and seriously, why is the motor that is supposed to be fine sounding so awful now when I accelerate? Or is it the belt drive? Weird.

Final Cut Pro X

For this Video and for all the videos i do at home, not being out with the bike i use Final Cut since for me it was the easiest to use program with a very intuitive Interface and cool colorgrading options.

KineMaster on Iphone
Here’s the link to the IOS App:

Using the Iphone allows me to cut all my videos and clips on the road without carrying the laptop which makes everything so much easier and it’s fun with the app;)

More about that and how i do stuff i will probably explain in future videos.

  1. Oh by the way, if you come to Malta you can stay at my place as long as u like. Charging and all ☺

  2. Hallo Marc. Ich bin jetzt ein sub weil ich wissen will wie weit du mit der echt schicken Maschine kommst. Bei dem Geräusch vermute ich ein Lager, das nicht mehr lange macht.

  3. About the oil leak & keeping the bike clean. I've had good few motorcycles and took the advice differently. I think what they meant was to clean up the oil that leaks out, so that it doesnt cover the underside of the motor, and drip onto the tyre. Doesn't that make more sense than cleaning the bike because of an oil leak?

  4. Moving freely between countries, with borderless travel. Imagine how great that would be…ah, hang on, didn’t we…oh! 😩

  5. Dude, was geht mit dem krassen Filter auf deinen previews in letzter Zeit? Du siehst 20 Jahre älter aus..

  6. Travelling has less to do with riding as much distance as possible in one day as it is visiting new places and meeting new people. A tour in the Midi-Pyrénées of 80 km in two days from Lascaux in the valley of prehistory for me is far more interesting than a 1000 km exploit on riding back home as fast as possible. I personally don't like the sound of my motorcycle while riding, therefore I bought some earplugs and a Cardo that can play smooth jazz instrumental music I like. The shop where I bought the motorcycle should keep my motorcycle in perfect state. I pay for that. Filming while riding can be very dangerous, I experienced and it is not all that interesting. It gets boring if not mixed with some intellectual challenge. Motorcycle riding asks for a 100% attention to the road and the traffic. It is very dangerous and that is an essential part of the fun. The drone thing is now ubiquitous and is so beautiful it takes away all focus on motorcycle riding. If I follow motorcycle blogs nowadays, I want to fly, not riding a motorcycle or any other vehicle. I would like to see on youtube more travelling, less riding. Maybe something for the future. Two fat ladies, The hairy Bikers, Jamie Oliver as a biker chef, maybe it is time for a twosome travel serie with some dialogue and interaction. But that asks for a rudimental scenario and serious preparation, but it could get you on television. My two cents. Itchy Boots is not the only format possible, although the most succesful nowadays.

  7. Marc – a little silicone spray on the inside of the belt (cogged side) will make the belt quiet when wet, since you ride in the rain a lot. As far as Parking Mode, it's more than reverse. It limits speed in forwards or backwards to only 3mph, no matter how much you twist the throttle – and you can switch between reverse and forwards with a single button press making it easier to navigate parking spots etc. IDK, I think for $195 it's a pretty good deal myself since it adds new hardware capabilities to the bike and new software too. It's a lot cheaper than transmission work! I bought it the same day it came out. I guess value is relative to income/situation.

  8. Have you had a good look at your belt drive? Belt drive is notoriously incompatible with gravel roads. Hope that is not a problem, once the damage is visible it's just a matter of time.

  9. I think it is the same noise whitch was in Honda. You should go to the same mechanic in Berlin ;-)))) Sorry, I couldn't hold back 🙂 May the force be with You.

  10. Hi, small windshields ok, but a little bit too big and they produce a enormous stormy noise, very annoying. The grinding sound – I am curious what comes out. I estimate the bearing or the belt needs adjust. Most it's lasting longer than you think, but fixing is better as soon as possible. Electric drive is better than I thought but I would like non-fossil-fuel more. Enjoyed your trip which was similar to my trip, since I like a whiskey sometimes… Greatings

  11. Zero got some slag from reviewers and on some forums.
Also, if you want to do something, even if it feels stupid or slightly dangerous, just do it.
A woman will always try to talk you out and control you. And there will be moments when you give in, but deep down you regret it.
I stopped asking people for their opinions if they don't support my risk taking lifestyle, as the don't understand me and my gains.

  12. Just a thought about that noise, can wiggle the front pulley….(the one that is leaking behind) and feel any play or wobble to give that noise and leak ?

  13. hi Marc ,
great to see you here in belgium , if i had known you were coming to antwerp i had offerred you a free stay in our free gast toom .
i wish you a fine trip to Berlin , and amybe our ways cross an other 🙂
    best regards Peter ,
    i ride a goldwing 1800 myself 🙂

  14. Funny you say you get more range in Belgium. I am riding my zero DS in Belgium and I am always surprised how low the milage is people are getting compared to what I am getting. I get easily up to 280 km.
I thought it was my driving style or my weight. But maybe it is the road.
To get good range numbers, you just need to ride it in a country full of speed traps, speed bumps, police, traffic jams ,… And ridiculous high taxes that are spend on big government and social benefits instead of high quality infrastructure. Never thought this was going to be good for something.

  15. Windshields look cool on any bike, unless its a naked bike, then most of these I noticed are becoming heavy on advanced features. What is more advanced than a large shield see through visor.

  16. hahah go the boy thinking .. just squashed by girl thinking .. sheesh .. die .. I'm not going to die by riding 1000 km in the dark and being awake for soo long ? geeeez party pooper … poor Eve .. I hope someone helps you will these issues, an electric motorbike that you have to drive very conservatively isn't much fun .. keep up the great videos Marc

  17. Thanks for sharing your experiences with an e motorcycle. If it was not for the lack of charging infrastructure here in Latin America definitely I would get one of those…

  18. I tried the SRS which has a full fairing and I think it looks nice personally. The dealer told me it made a little difference to range but not that much. The noise is a bit weird isn't it.

  19. I'm not an expert but that sounds like a bearing. Maybe the grease/oil leak from the counter shaft seal damaged the counter shaft bearing. And it makes louder noise when accelerating hard because that's when there's a greater load on the bearing. Hope you can get it fixed. Cheers!

  20. Another great Video though Marc, Stick to the Quality and Safety, we enjoying seeing your vid’s and there’s not much to see at night 🙂
