Hello all hiking and nature lovers.
Not sure if you already have visited such a beautiful country as New Zealand is.
If you are going to visit New Zealand (after covid-19 is somehow stabilized), I would bet most of you are also planning to visit popular Hobbiton movie set close to Matamata. That is however not the only attraction nearby.
Mainly for nature lovers there is not so difficult (about 1 or optionally 2 hours long – in one direction) track. It starts at Wairere Track Carpark just few kilometers northeast of Matamata and the path leads you to:
a) lower lookout of the Wairere falls
b) upper lookout from the top of the falls to be able to see really much in case of good weather
But enough talk and enjoy the partial virtual hike – that ends just before the “formation” of stairs before the lower lookout.
