  1. Great video thank you for the detailed info. Concering the SOS app, I download it, but can't figure out where to add the documents. Could you do a detailed step by step of downloading and entering the required docs? Thanks!

  2. That sounds typical of Japan to much red tape which is unnecessary. But to put it into context the Japanese Government love paperwork. Hell they still use fax machines in Japan!,,🫢🫢🫢

  3. U mean 90% were leaving Japan on connecting flights? Or going on connecting flights to other parts of Japan? // As Japan has bad management issues, it is not surprising there will be some things that will be awfully time-wasting at the airport (more than the already time-wasting before Covid). So it's best to wait till they really "open" instead of requiring this and that.

  4. Like you said, connecting flight passengers were disembarked separately from the rest actually entering Narita, Japan. Now, do connecting passengers have to go through the SOS app shenanigans and other paperwork ? Hope not. I'm connecting forward through Haneda soon. Thanks.

  5. I just got back from Tokyo and had similar experiences. Most of the folks on our ANA flight from Vancouver were connecting to Singapore. Not many staying in Japan and we saw few tourists in our wanderings. My son and I both had our My SOS app completed and we breezed through the vaccination gauntlet. I will say that, midway through our trip, we got a message through My SOS that said, “Canceled cooperation with Health Monitoring Center for Overseas Entrants”. Our app turned from blue to red and all of our documentation disappeared. I’m not sure since we were never checked again after the airport but I don’t know if My SOS is being required or everyone is being required to provide paper documentation of vaccination. Japan was great but word of advice, even though the Prime Minister told everyone that masks were optional outdoors and should only be worn when in close contact with others, EVERYONE was still wearing masks indoors and outdoors… Take a mask and have a good time!

  6. You don’t actually need to know why this and why that Japanese make such a hassle for those who don’t have MySOS ready. Because the Japanese would think the same thing as to why these people entering Japan and still don’t want to download MySOS to make everything clear and easy but want to make them so busy check all the details for you guys.

  7. Excellent detailed video you've posted. I have a trip booked for Japan in mid-March and I feel even more confident following this video. I understand they'll be using a new website called Visit Japan to put in your information and the process remains fluid, so anything can change these next few months leading up to my trip. Based on the comments I'm reading, there's a small chance we may not use the website/app but I'll still be ready for anything. Great video and looking forward to the next one on how the new website works.

  8. I met a lot of French speaking tourists here in Kyoto. I guess a lot of them are coming in after the borders are opened as seen in this vid. Great content though!

  9. Me and my family will be travelling to Osaka on 30 Oct 2022. Re: MySOS app, can I use my iphone and register me and my two kids while my wife has her own MySOS on her iphone? Or would you suggest I have my two other children (15 and 10) bring their own devices with the MySOS app?

  10. Hi! Fantastic video! Very helpful. For the MySOS App, how soon or how early, before you arrive in Japan, do you need to submit the requirements?

  11. First thank you for all the content and video you made, I have a question please, how many time it takes to turn into red to the other colour, on the registration they asked about the country you visited since the last 14 days and I visit Morocco, but live in France. Do you know if it could make a problem if you visit a country which is not on the list of the visa or not, may I have to make a pcr test even if I am 3 times vaccinated ? Take you again for your job ❤

  12. Hi there! I will be going to Manila January 2023 and will have an long overnight layover in Haneda Airport. Am I allowed to leave the airport to explore the city? H
