This underrated beach town is located in between the cities of Fukuoka and Kitakyushu. We visited Fukutsu City in Fukuoka Prefecture. The Fukuma Beach is a popular spot for water sports, but still less well-known compared to Itoshima.
Fukutsu City also offers Miyajidake Shrine. It’s famous for the “path of light.” Only twice a year, in late February and October the setting sun lines up perfectly connecting the shrine straight out to the sea
