  1. Question, we were doing the mysos for our dec trip, it said its gonna be gone come nov14, what do we need to do after nov14? ty!

  2. After long time I can visit again. Will be there in mid november and have some additional information.

The App is not needed, but it will be faster and easier wih it. This is the reason why I will use it.
I had two additional questions and checked them with the MHLW. They answered really fast via Mail.

Actual there are mayn people, like me, who received their 4th dose, but there are only three fields in the app for vaccination.
Question: Should I use the 1/2/3 field for the 2nd /3rd /4th Dose and upload the booster certificate?
Answer: You can upload 2nd /3rd /4th Dose of certificate.

Nobody want to pay roaming fees to be reachable via mobile, but the app asks for two phone numbers.
Don´t know, if this is only for the app or for all tourists. Only asked for the app.
Question: Do I need two different phone numbers? Is it needed to have an active mobile phone number while staying in Japan? Can I use the phone number from my hotel?
Answer: Please register just one phone number. It's OK to register hotel's number.

After fixing the hotel I will submit all details and hopefully receive a blue screen. Have two favorite hotel, but maybe trying something new this time. Or next year. My plan is to visit every year once and next year twice.
Will watch your next videos for the actual entry procedure and all the other great information.

  3. Thank you for answering questions we all had in mind. Especially questions 3 and 4, which i asked in the last video. Looking forward to your next video and hope you have a great time in Copenhagen!

  4. Does Certificate of Testing for COVID-19 need a signature or just the name of the medical institution? The form does't seem to have a field for a doctors signature.

  5. I'm triple vaccinated and all approved vaccines. However the UK particularly Scotland NHS vaccine certificate only States 2 out of the 3. I could be a little paranoid here and I have requested it show all 3 but this is policy apparently. If you've heard of anyone else from the UK had any issues with this I'd like to hear it. I know Japanese like their paperwork so I just want to ensure it's ok. The only real proof it says 2 of 3 and 3 of 3. I've got them all on NHS app but I know this isn't considered proof.

  6. Would be helpful if you could include the link to the Japanese Government site.

  7. Well, re assuring that the SOS app is not the end-all-be-all. My buddy from Canada filled it out and it required uploading Vax info and card. When I tried to do the app from USA it just asked for passport info and date of birth. And said Red. And asked me for quarantine information ? Hopefully the longer line in quick 😕

  8. The SOS app asked me `Were‘ you ‘ a crew member? I was stuck until I checjed it. But I am / was not a crew member !!!! So strange.

  9. Anyone know if you have the J&J vaccine but no booster if you’re good to go ?Or will I need to get tested first ?

  10. Even though masks are not really required outdoors, some Japanese media outlets are scaremongering about how foreigners are gonna cause massive covid case increases because they are not wearing masks outside like the locals are. How stupid!!! It’s very difficult for COVID to spread outdoors!

  11. Im going to Japan in March 26 to 10 of April. Will the school break make things more crowded? Should I go 1 week after my plan?

  12. Thanks for the informative video! The japanese govt announced the 20% discount for attractions, do you know if they apply to foreigners as well who can show MySOS app as proof of their vaccination? E.g. USJ tickets are 20% cheaper on the japanese site but it doesn't seem to be available to non-residents 🙁

  13. Just found out that as of 14 November the my SOS app has been replaced by the visit japan web, will the my SOS app still be reviewed and turn blue? The my SOS app is rated one star and it is not even that good, very slow and difficult to use. Hope you had a great time in Copenhagen. Aloha

  14. Hi, just to be clear, if my child is under 18 and is able to get the vaccine but doesn’t want to, will he still be able to enter Japan with me? (I’m triple vax)

  15. Thank you. The MySOS app situation wad confusing me as I was under the impression if you don't complete it you won't even be let on the plane, meaning that in practicality, it would still be required. Thank you very much!

  16. Thanks for really informative fun videos on all these topics. Just found you and it’s so much help for what I hope is an upcoming trip. have a question that I’m only starting to see little bits about in other comments and forums. I’m asking here since you are one of the more responsive and seem to have really great info

I was just alerted today that the hotels (all?? Some???) are taking temp checks when arriving. the websites of the hotels simply say – you will not be allowed to enter if 99.5 or over temp. No other info. So what happens to a tourist if they arrive, they travel around switch locations, then something happens — and can’t get into any lodging at that point? Are isolation places still a thing? 🙁 basically —What happens if a tourist gets “sick” in Japan now and from that point onward can’t get into their next location of lodging? No one has covered this at all I now realize!! I’m about to cancel my trip over this . I went to a tourism info website it didn’t seem to have exact info either. Most things just say follow guidance of health authorities.

If you or someone here knows I’d deeply appreciate any info thanks !

  17. i got the classic health insurance plan for my nov 2-17 trip to Japan. i didnt go with the covid coverage plan it was 4x more expensive through airline plan $25 vs $6 per day during trip. got 3 vaccines Moderna. would there be any issues with not having covid coverage included? i heard that it could be a bit expensive for health stuff in Japan. im from Canada so high healthcare costs arent the first thing you think about when getting hurt/sick. got the mysos app blue and also got a QR code for the new visit japan web page. i got physical copies also.
