This video shows comparisons between iPhone 13 Pro Max & iPhone 14 Pro Max in Shibuya. We are testing a new feature of iPhone 14 called “Action Mode”. If you turn the Action Mode on, the image gets zoomed a little bit and the edges get cropped. But you will get steadier shots especially if you are in intense action such as running. However let’s see how it affects to walking. In the 2nd half of this video, let me show you how steady the video can be when using the Action Mode along with a gimbal.

Trivia: My impression about the Action Mode is that you may not need it if you just walk and not run. If the new iPhone had a feature like other action cameras such as keeping the horizontal line, then it would be wonderful. I’m gonna continue using my gimbal so I think I should turn this feature off since this feature crops the edges.

Is the Action Mode footage you captured in this video on the iPhone 14 Pro Max exclusively using the ultrawide camera? I'm asking because I noticed a lot more flaring around light bulbs and street lights..!
This night footage overall is so clean in Action Mode in combination with the gimbal. Are you shooting 24 frames per second to allow more light to reach the sensor..?
I feel like action mode makes a lot of nervous counters to your hand movements, for example when you move it up after half a second it counters this movement down which doesn't look good. iPhone 13 doesn't have this feature and as you can see smoothness is very similar, it's just your hand has a builtin gimbal after making so many videos ๐

Looks pretty stable, and really clear, but they still haven't done anything about the bouncy little light reflections that you see sometimes in the lower part of the screen.๐ Great video though, you can see faces clearly!

Out of all the walking videos, I have to say that walking through Japan is the best out of all. It is just so different, but also so unique and beautiful. Above all, it is so relaxing and soothing to watch the lifestyle, the energy, the vibe. I use your videos to de-stress after long days at work, so I can bring my mind to the present moment and not have to feel so tense all the time. Thank you so much for sharing this with us ๐

Normally I would shoot 4k in 30fps because the quality would become very bad
