プラレール Tomy Eurostar/TGV – From London Waterloo to Montbard, via Eurodisney

In pre-Saint Pancras/HS1 link days, the Eurostar would leave from the Knapford-like settings of London Waterloo International. Travelling at low speed on the normal network, it would pass through Penge East (our then local station), past Royston Primary School and into Kent. It would meander through North-West Kent, then over the Medway river at Tonbridge. It would then go through Ashford International before disappearing into the Channel Tunnel at Shakespeare Cliff near Folkestone.
By the magic of video, now at full speed, it reappears on the other side of the Channel at Coquelles. It makes the short journey to Lille-Europe, then on to Haute-Picardie (“the Beetroot station”), but then, instead of heading towards Paris, it veers south-east, through Roissy Airport before stopping at Disneyland-Marne-la-Vallee, where a TGV connects. We then soon enter Burgundy just before Sens. Our journey ends in Montbard where hopefully a bus service will take us onwards to Saulieu/Liernais…
~Filmed on “location” in Kent and Burgundy.

  1. Nice one samueljaros! Yes I do agree with you great minds do think alike when the owners play with Tomy-Plarail!
The Eurostar up-load is great and falls nicely into the same theme as my upload!

  2. Watched your film/video up-load again samueljaros – very bold & interesting too! I must confess the addition/over-lay names idea was very good! Perhaps the interesting point was the TGV waiting at the Euro Disney stop!
