What we like about Izumo Restaurant is the thought and care that goes into every Unagi dish they make. Located conveniently in central Osaka, just steps from the train station is this humble Izakaya, specializing in Unagi (fresh water eel).
Most people call the restaurant by its short name IZUMO. The official name of the place is Unagi no Gama no Hoyaki Gyutan Yakitori Basashi Izumo Osaka Fukushima Hontel (phew)
Address:
5 Chome-12-20 Fukushima, Fukushima Ward, Osaka, 553-0003

is it a leftover pre-cooked then they just reheat and dipped in sauce :((
I'll surely visit that! Looks sooooo delish! Thanks!
May I know the cost of the meal? If you guys don't mind?
Looks so good
👏 😮 👏 Wow
Interesting I really never had Eel myself before?🤔
This bowl is straight out of an anime visually and in taste
This tour was splendid, my peers in the town house love Tabi Eats show. Every place you review has something interesting.
👍
Make me miss my highball sir. That is my go to drink when I go back home😂
O_O wow.
Yummy❤
piggu go home
Drinks at lunchtime!? I'm in!
3:06 Did you hear the sound? It was me who farted😁
Unagi is a state of total awareness, and only by achieving true Unagi, you can be prepared for any danger that may befall you🙂
Man I didn't get to eat there I was always at Yakiniko I love Japanese food!!
Looks so yummy 😋
Aloha 🌺🥰
I really need to give unagi another chance. The last time I had it, I ate the very rich kimo, and ended up getting sick to my stomach. Needless to say, I never touched unagi ever again. This dish that you both shared, looked amazing! Thank you for sharing!
as a local, that's great value but as a tourist, i won't battle that bowl of rice, i'd order one more dish instead…..
Not a fan of Unagi, but I’d try that. Looks good.
Have you taken the super express train in Osaka ?
I have never been to Osaka, but as far as I am concerned, Tokyo has one of the best Yakitori restaurant in Ginza 👍👍👍👍👍👍😋😋😋😋
The Unagi sauce is sweet and very tasty 😋
I miss authentic local Japanese food 😢
There is a branch in Ikebukuro, I believe. Just incase you guys or any of your viewers want to try it and can't get to Osaka!
OMG! i'm so jealous of you guys right now! i want all the yummy foods you are eating!
the wages of sin is death but the gift of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Haven't had fried or grilled eel in decades. Here in the Netherlands eel is nearly extinct through overfishing of eel larvae by Spanish and Chinese fishing vessels just outside Dutch territorial waters.
This has caused the price to explode (obviously) when it's available at all.
I'd eat the eel and egg. Put the rice in a container and pay.
I’ve never had unagi but this video is making me very hungry!
Can I please hang out with you guys!!?? Unagi is so good
I love unagi, hopefully I can visit again next year and try that unagi place!
What glasses do you wear? They look so cool!
Challenge accepted for that rice bowl
It’s a better deal than getting a salad during lunch in NY
I love your videos!
What a great deal and to make Onigiri with the leftovers too.
Whaaaaa 😮unagi and tamagouaki??? Why not?
OMG this is all so amazing. Does anyone else feel like running to the closest izakaya to calm their rumbling tummy?
Tourists are going to love this restaurant. With their extensive menu , there is something for everyone. 🥂
Add this place to my places to try list. If you or anyone would be so kind, how can I ask them to help me do take out if I can't finish my order? I fear I might not be able to finish it myself. 😅 Is there a English menu ?
Never liked getting eel. The restaurants near me never remove the bones.
That is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen😮🤤🤤🤤🥰 I need it so bad!!!!!
Aren't grilled sticks called Yakitori? Can you do your viewers a favor and write the English/Japanese text in your video description so people can copy and paste those words and Google them, please?
With all due respect the thumbnail made me bust 💦
interesting – in denmark we also have a dish that pairs eel and eggs. Its just an opened faced sandwich with smoked eel and scrambled eggs
Not gonna lie but with all the xenophobic crap around the pandemic and how Japan has been closed and partially open (and how those tours for foreigner work), this video and title are just for the views
I'm so happy Japan is finally reopening its borders to its tourists, and I'm looking forward to visiting Japan at some point down the road, so i can rediscover everything this great country has to offer.
