Bending rules could be seen unfair to others. Everyone will follow suit then it could be an issue.
I carry a handkerchief with me, if I don’t I never forget tissues or serviettes.
Interesting! More such culture exchange vids haha😂
It never used to be a problem until the last 10 years when more entitled cyclists get on to the road
Japan will not be Japan if things are the same as France. Likewise in Singapore. Foreigners cannot wish Singapore should be like their own country. Too many difference in different countries for Singapore to please anybody. Better to stick to what works, for Singapore to be Singapore. We can only be Singapore and responsible for ourselves.
Cycling. No one can work out cycling with traffic in a small city with 6+million. You cannot compare to large space countries like France, etc.
Now. What you need to compare to will be London. Central London.
Even London with all its cycling culture hasn't got it right.
Frequently. You get a lot of road rage between cyclist & car drivers especially cabs. You even get cyclist deaths. From reports, London cyclist using cycle lanes, in intersections have a tendency of not wanting to stop at traffic lights. It was a hassle to the exercise.
They tend to crash and take risk as they see fit. Especially they think they can be faster than the car.
With any country. It is silly to expect the country to change to a visitors taste from a foreign country.
France cannot be France without its wine? England cannot be England without its pub culture.
So. Chill.
Locals wipe sweat on their shirt.
Singaporeans like to get to the point and have the business done. No need to have small talks because the discussion is about business not about friendship. So, Singaporeans need Anis' expertise to do something, he has found a niche. Good for him. Good for Glib to share the common points as foreigners and seeing both enjoying local food and desserts. Glad for both of you staying and working in Singapore.
We dry our sweat through evaporation lmao
That being said, I think older people (>50 years old) have the habit of using handkerchiefs. Probably that practice died out over time
The work culture in japan is one of the worst in the world.
This dessert place you went to also has an outlet in Chinatown Point B2.
Habibi!😅🤣
Singapore is Singapore, not France or Japan. Things in France/Japan would not work in Singapore. Ofc it’s gonna be different, and that’s the reason why some of you are attracted to work/reside here in the first place. Anyone in a foreign country would struggle in some sense but the least your struggles in Singapore are mild
Ang mo means western people or like white people
Anis' bicycle is so local-looking😄😄 By the way, I think most Singaporeans just use tissue instead of towels to dry themselves when out, or escape to aircon places.
I think his carriage box behind is not allowed. Edge to edge sideways, the dimension cannot be more than 70cm.
After covid 19 I moved out of Singapore. I realize the country is too small the space is very very limited and virus can spread very easily.

Singaporeans do sweat and we sweat buckets. Just that we're not used to carrying hankies or towels wherever we go.
As I perspire a lot, I always carry 2 handkerchiefs and 1 small towel, sometimes 2. I have no idea how others survive without it. ;P
That Ang mo does knows his stuff while me being super indecisive 😂
I guess Singapore personal income tax rate is lower than US and France.
I hear you. It's not easy living anywhere as foreigner. To be honest, maybe Singapore is probably one of the easiest in Asia. I mean it's literally hell in some other cities…
Funny…a japanese tried to teach a french on south east asian food. That one is not curry chicken. Its laksa. Please learn properly
Tunisia French is a colony of France. Tunisia is in Africa where people speaks French. So Isn’t he more in tuned with Tunisia than France?
東京で働いてますが、仕事中に私用してる人は私の会社には多いし、誰も問題にしてないです😅
それでもフランスよりは少ないのかな?
柔軟な働き方だと家庭や趣味と仕事を両立できたりしていいですよね〜。
For a french guy, his English is superb.
I think I'm just used to the heat as a local. Just a little bit of shade is enough to cool me down to stop sweating. But it might just be me
Bad choice to eat this curry for an interview. You should have eaten the non curry stuff.
The curry will stain ur clothes if u slurp.
Plus it is spicy for a Japanese. Hahaha.
Local people do not use towels cos we are Sooooo Used to it lor. 😂 Hong Lim is such a small hawker centre.
Aha! What is z2u? yah,
Aha! Is z2u legal? yes!
I absolutely love your channel! I visited Singapore (and Japan) and only left two days ago back to Europe – so your channel helps me to retain my connection with Singapore and Japan!
To be fair I think the reason we have so little small talk is because we attend meetings on time. We go right into the agenda. If you're always waiting for team members to show up, the early birds make small talk.
it’s so interesting how he has some bit of a local accent mixed in when he speaks, might be also because he spent quite some years in asia as a whole, not just singapore. he didn’t have a strong french accent when speaking. 🙂
white man in Asia? he'll be fine
