As a freelancer, digital nomad and illustrator, I do hunt for bargain art supplies anywhere I go, although I work 95% digital by now, and that is going to change in 2021 to 50%-50%:))))))))))… Japan has insane quality brush pens on budget, and the ones I use for years, but while I was there I wanted to try new ones since I am there, as there is a direct purchase, so it can`t be cheaper even for professional tools. This is one chatty vlog explaining how I worked back there in Tokyo in January 2020, and I am inviting you for #japanuary 2021 to join if you love sharing and challenging yourself posting lovely photos, thoughts and artwork… I love going back and watching as in these times, we need content that is honest and transparent more than ever:)))))))
Brush pens are awesome and they limit us and give freedom for artistic expression at the same time… If you didn`t try Japanese brush pens, or felt tip pens, I highly suggest you try how you react onto that very technique.
