In this issue, I will introduce the area around Osaka Station in Osaka City, a leading city in western Japan and the Kinki region, and a center of economy, culture, and transportation.
Osaka is the largest city in the Keihanshin metropolitan area, which includes Kyoto and Kobe, and boasts one of the largest economies in Japan.
The origin of Osaka City is the Uemachi Plateau, which juts out from the mouth of the Yodo and Yamato Rivers at the end of Osaka Bay, and its proximity to Kyoto has led to the development of commerce and industry.

今回は、西日本および近畿地方の首位都市で、経済・文化・交通の中心都市である大阪市の大阪駅周辺を眺めます。
大阪市は京都市や神戸市を含めた、日本有数の経済規模を誇る京阪神大都市圏の中で1番大きな都市です。
大阪湾の奥、淀川・大和川の河口に突き出た上町台地が大阪市の町の原点であり、京都にも近い事から、商工業が発達しています。
