It took me 8 years and finally i start editing the clips for my 2014 spring travel japan. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting.
Its Day 4 of 32
My adventure brings me to Takayama, in the Hida region. Its 450+ km aways from hiroshima by train and 600+ by car. To arrive in takayama i used bullet train to nagoya then interchange with a limited express wide Hida. All cost are supported by the Japan rail pass
From hiroshima to nagoya you will pass thru cities as well as some small villages with rice fields. Once at nagoya and heading takayama you will see range of mountains blue rivers/pond. More mountainous stuff.
What i didnt expect was to make new friends immediately after arriving at my hostel Jhoppers. I befriended 2 of the staff Ayumi san and Chiaki san and still remain friends today in 2022. My friend Dirk lives in belgium and i visited him before the pandemic. We walk around brussels and also visited the atomic structure.
As for Kota san (the guy in front of me) he came to Malaysia not long afterthis trip and stayed at my house. We went to KL as well as malacca. I met him again in Japan in 2016 at shibuya and ate sushi with him. Last i heard from him, he is now residing in singapore a new chapter of his life.
The cool thing about travelling is making so many friends. And lots of them unplanned.
