Oahu Favorites!

In this video we saved the best for last! This is a compilation of our favorite places in Oahu Hawaii. This island has so much to offer and so there is so much more to see! Here is a collection of our favorite places in Oahu.

The East side of Oahu is absolutely breathtaking and in my mind is an absolute must see. Traveling the perimeter of the island was the highlight of our trip, and made the cost of renting a car worth every penny.

We start this video on the East coast at Kuala Regional Park and stop in at Kualoa Ranch. Kuala Ranch is where several movies have been filmed to include Jurassic Park. They have lots of fun, family friendly tours. We skipped this attraction in favor of the luau for this trip, but I will be sure to visit next time I make it to Oahu. There is a beautiful regional park across the street that is a favorite for kayakers who want to kayak to Mokoli’i Island. (Also known as Chinamans Hat Island)

Next was one of my absolute favorite spots: The Byodo-In Temple, located at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kahaluu, Oahu Hawaii. Even though this place was full of tourists, I found the spot to be serene and peaceful. This temple is a smaller scale replica of the 950 year old temple which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Japan.

The next several locations are found while driving the perimeter of the Southern portion of Oahu. The most unbelievably beautiful water in all of Hawaii was found at Waimanalo Beach Park. Makapu’u Lookout was a magnificent spot known for Whale watching Nov-April. Our next stop was the Halona Blowhole scenic view that also overlooks Halona Beach Cove.

Our last day of exploring on the island we drove down highway H3 which crosses through the Mountains from Honolulu to the East side of the island. The highway is gorgeous with a tunnel cutting through the luscious green mountains.

I hope you enjoyed our tour of Oahu! For more videos on Oahu, see my Hawaii playlist at : https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrh8Q3PAMb2YXGiZ8KIAIAixjV5J0hWX2

  1. I can see why these are your favorites! Oahu looks so beautiful. Kualoa Ranch is on our to do list because we had heard about the Jurassic Park connection you mentioned. But everything else you showed us here needs to be on our to do list as well. We have a Hawaii trip planned for our anniversary in 2024 (beacuse that is a big milestone anniversary for us). We can't wait to see Oahu in person. Thanks for sharing this!
