Socially distanced art festival – Alexandria Old Town Art Festival 2020

My name is Evan Reinheimer. I am a full time artist and I travel the world using a kite to lift my camera into the sky to create unique aerial photographs. This technique is called “Kite Aerial Photography.”

I exhibit & sell my artwork at outdoor art festivals across the USA. I exhibit in about 30 events like this in a typical year. However, in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic canceling all events, I was forced to take an unexpected 6 month break from exhibiting my artwork in person at art festivals. This video documents my second art festival since the Coronavirus pandemic forced the cancelation of these events.

The Alexandria Old Town Art Festival takes place every September in Alexandria, VA. The festival is produced by Howard Alan Events. They did an amazing job putting on a safe and successful event in a challenging urban setting.
