  1. What makes me a foodie especially in Singapore is the diverse range of cuisines and pricing we are able to work with to find delicious and heartwarming meals even when we might be students on a budget. When traveling overseas its so common to see prices being jacked up just because they are serving "foreign cuisines"!

This experience is further enhanced with how we embrace both the past and futuristic cooking styles present even in our humble hawker centers close to our homes!

  2. What makes me a foodie: Singapore's local hawker food is so good and cheap. I make it a point to go around Singapore and try all the recommended hawker stalls by friends.

  3. It is difficult not to be a “foodie” when I am in Singapore – a melting pot of so many different cultures – and just a stone throw away from good food. Additionally, Upcoming young and creative chefs combining tradition and innovations in their cooking just makes me want to experience all of those fusion goodies too!

  4. What makes me a real foodie ? Well, game to try any edible food regardless of heritage, calories or location 😃.
G8 Singapore Food Festival Ytube , a holistic intro – like that it includes food source, link to sustainabiilty & the good cause part too.

  5. I save down all the food recommendations by the food bloggers on my Google maps and visit them with my friends and family.

  6. I love travelling around Singapore try all the hawker food and restaurants. When my friends from overseas visit Singapore, I love bringing them around to introduce them to the local delicacies.

  7. The real foodie will support the "dying" hawker culture. There was a saying that goes "If the stall is old and dirty, they will produce the best dishes". As a foodie, I will target all these stalls and never did they disappoint me. Moreover, there are a lot of different varieties of food available in a hawker centre setting, which therefore I am able to try out much different food at once when with friends.

  8. Foodie? The fact that it takes me forever to decide what to eat and everyone I know calls me ultra picky on my food hahaha

  9. Nasi Lemak is a traditional Malay food but I think the blue pea butterfly Nasi lemak version is from the Peranakan tradition..most of their food are fusion of Chinese & Malay

  10. What makes me a real foodie?

Whenever i go to a new restaurant, i will always try to get get at least 1 dish that sounds new or unique so that i can continue to explore new dishes and flavours while expanding my tastebuds.

  11. I think what makes me a real foodie are many things. I always spend my free time browsing for amazing food to try around Singapore, new innovations and unique creations. I'm also always watching videos of people trying food, and recipes for home versions, be it on YouTube or TikTok! 😋 Once I take note of all these, I find time to go try them out whenever I can with like-minded friends and family. I'm also a very adventurous foodie and I'm always the first to try dishes that are completely foreign to me and my company! All flavours are wonderful to me and I truly appreciate every meal I have, as I get to savour the chef's hard work, devotion, and sincerity. Always looking forward to eating 😇

  12. A real foodie is one who loves to eat and gets excited when there’s a food show happening in real life or in tv and follows the interesting foodies like ohjib San who lives in Singapore when I’m in Vancouver love to watch you so authentic and real

  13. dang jealous. my sept trip over got cancelled so i missed out on this. will definitely want to plan for next year's festival!
guess that would make me a real foodie, travelling internationally for food ahaha

  14. Being in Singapore has drastically widened my food experience since you can find food from all over the world in this tiny red dot! I love eating and enjoy trying new cuisines from anywhere in the world, and the hidden gems in Singapore is awesome! Just like Ghib, i always watch mikey chen during my meal or i would put myself into a risk of being tempted to have 2nd dinner/lunch. Lol
