  1. New tip topic… Loading and Reloading IC or suica cards using non-Japan credit or debit cards? Or is it cash only? And is it possible to check your balance online? Do you get that back in cash if unused?

  2. It seems like the govt did these rules without consulting travel agencies at all. a majority of agencies cannot book flights for people at all. I hope that I’m a few months, they relax the rules further

  3. some good tips there especially about the postal service, quite affordable and used many times by myself….

  4. Really great help for us , looks like I was doing the right thing I always went to 7/11 for cash I just felt like it always worked , I still have my Suica and I will use it for food and drink next time where possible , thanks you two for a great video that I was looking forward to 😊

  5. Amazing Alex, love this video.
Can you confirm if postal is sending to all countries now?
I know Canada was blacklisted at Japan post.

  6. Cool to know about the self-checkouts! Definitely new since I was there last, its looking like i'll be able to make my October trip. I cant wait to be carrying full pockets of one 1 Yen coins again!

  7. Suica and Pasmo are regional IC card that are issued mostly in metro Tokyo but you can still use then virtually anywhere in Japan. If you land in different parts of Japan like Osaka, Nagoya, Hokkaido, etc. you can buy their IC card that you can also use like Suica and Pasmo. When you buy a brand new one, there will be a 500 yen deposit that you can redeem if you surrender your IC card. One note: Suica in Haneda airport issued Tokyo Monorail card and can only be surrendered in Haneda airport and Hamamatsu stations only.
