One of the coolest things i attempted in my travels
Climbing a 1000 steps up a mountain in Yamagata Prefecture. This place is known as yamadera temple which is situated on top of a mountain.
The view from the observation deck is really breathtaking. Worth the day trip from sendai.
If you come during winter, everything will be blanketed with thick white snow. Superb view
