  1. Ok, so thanks to Ryno, I'm now thinking they need to serve Lanford Lunch Box Loose Meat sandwiches at the ABC Commissary. (Apologies for going off topic, as this is a Universal show, not Disney.)

  2. Margaritaville is another amazing place to eat, great margaritas and the food is actually really really good

  3. Following along with Alicia Stella’s reporting for Epic Universe has made me more excited for the park as a whole then I thought possible. Getting to watch the park rise up from the ground, being able to overlay the site plans and see where things will be. Even the main celestial hub area sounds amazing. If it’s anywhere near the level of them wing we get in most areas of IOA, it’ll be insane walking through those gates the first time.

  4. Regarding the bit at the end about ride accessibility.. Yes, safety is the top concern, and yes Universal doesn't literally build the rides themselves, but neither does Disney and they make sure just about everyone can access most if not all their rides. Universal chooses not to. They can easily instruct the ride designers and manufacturers to make sure that more or all of their guests can get on the rides. At this point it's obvious they're choosing not to and that's shameful.

  5. We’ll said Craig. I’m 62 I wanna go w The grandkids but I can’t do screens and spins and I get vertigo easily so there’s not much left for me at universal. We’re also getting a bit larger. It’s a lot of money to go and do nothing. We were last there 12 years ago and I got sick on hog warts.

  6. Wishful thinking for Epic adding a Nostalgialand with Jaws, BttF and other gone things that fits with those two.

  7. Definitely not cheap almost $400,- but for a Day for a International Guest that will not return for years full worth it to do the unltd express pass or for some just the ep for save bucks but this will be my way and my perk for 1st timer there and on the west coast will be the VIP TOUR in Hollywood seeing hopefully all that sweet areas and background information isn´t a skip the lines in that tour as well????.

Some Rides should be experienced without EP first like the Hogwarts Castle Ride which one as well Transformers?, JP River Ride? Hagrids Ride? which has unique queue lines you would skip things with EP ??

  8. I will have the VIP TOUR and a regular Day with express to soak all in since will be one and only possible so have to get all the vibes and magic.

  9. I totally agree about Universal upping their game with quick service. When I was planning my vacation I was amazed at how many restaurants seemed to have the same stuff on the menu. Lots of hamburgers, pizza and chicken fingers. Plus, only a few have kids meals.

  10. One big question I've always had as someone who has never been to Universal is, how would you rate all 6 parks (the 4 WDW parks and the 2 Universal parks)? Would the Universal parks be at the bottom or somewhere in the middle? Would Islands of Adventure be up with the Disney parks while Universal Park is at the bottom?

  11. If you removed the Harry Potter areas would the Universal parks be not that great? Is Harry Potter the main great thing holding them up or are they great parks (on par with WDW parks) even without Harry Potter?

  12. I'm glad you guys pointed out the attraction accessibility at Universal – EASILY the biggest con to all of their parks. Huge bummer, even for dark rides like Pets, etc. Glad you guys brought that up

IMO, Universal Hollywood is DEFINITELY a full day park. Especially with Nintendo just a few months away – its easily a full day park & borderline a 2-day park if you take in all of their entertainment and/or don't have Express

  13. Also keep in mind, buying express at guest services in the park is for ONE TIME USE on each ride.
Premier hotels like Hard Rock offer UNLIMITED express 😎!

  14. I have enjoyed a universal annual pass for the first time and was surprised how much I enjoyed the park. My only complaint is trying to get photos. I don’t know if I missed places where me I can get a cast member to take a photo or but selfies are difficult to get a whole family in the picture. That as the one thing I would bring from Disney to universal.

  15. On the preferred sit down at city walk no Cowfish? My whole family enjoyed that place. Big fire was good to us too!

  16. Two things I wish UO would take from Disney is ride accessibility. I was not able to ride a couple rides. 2 I think a lot of quick serves at UO did not set up their employees for success. Disney does get people through quick serve lines but I felt bad for UO employees at a couple places.

  17. I think the character interactions at Disney are more fun than Universal. Granted they are also considerably more commercialized. And people expect more when they have to take out a mortgage to meet Minnie Mouse. But the characters at Disney do seem to have more spontaneous moments with the guests. Whereas at Universal it is basically "take your photo and go"

  18. I say this all the tine after one of these episodes, but I definitely need to book my first Universal vacation!

  19. Woo! Thanks for answering my question! We're only spending 1 night at Hard Rock, but aren't doing parks, we actually got Moonlight Magic for that night since asking the question, but at least we have great options at City Walk! Thanks again men.

  20. Thank you for answering my question, although I would still love to hear what you guys think Disney could learn from Universal 😊 born in Toledo Ohio, raised south of Detroit in Michigan, I grew up going to Cedar Point. Once I started having kids, I couldn’t stomach some thrill rides like big coasters.. weird I know. I enjoy Universal but I would love them to incorporate more accessible and family friendly rides. My family loves the thrill rides but I need more tame rides, something like Big Thunder. I do love the Harry Potter rides. I hope they find a balance in Epic Universe. We would go more often

  21. I do agree with making rides for everyone. I work out a lot and I feel so much discomfort when riding the forbidden journey as my arms and chest feel the squeeze when the harness comes down. I haven’t had an issue with secret life of pets but that ride is for everyone but that lap bar they put doesn’t allow many people to enjoy it.
