Only thing there is a catch. You have to go through travel agency, so itβs not much different then a group tour because you have to go by their itinerary and being watched by them or at least checked in by them. How limited is your freedom when your there on a single tourism through travel agency. Japan is to slow in opening. Their Yen and economy is crashing hard because of failed leadership, Kishida is a horrible prime minister. This is not about Covid anymore. Itβs political and Japanese government officials actually donβt like foreigners. Been told this by my wifeβs family and other Japanese people in law enforcement.
Japan has the worst tourism recovery plan ever. Iβm from the US and visited my country Thailand last year for 3 months without much hassle. We quarantined for 3 days, then we were free to roam the countries thru Airbnb stays. Japans slow move to recovery seems motivated by money. Not only do I have to book thru a travel agency, but I have to stay at one of their approved hotels which would be like 100+ a night for their cheapest hotel package.
Tourism in Japan is pretty much non existent right now, but yet, their covid cases exploded. That tells you itβs not foreigners that are the issue here but their own citizens. Japan seems money hungry with a silly plan.
Just my .02
Is Expedia considered a travel agency?
This is fantastic news. We're on the right track β¨
Dude your videos are amazing! I've been planning my trip to Japan since 2019 and now it seems like it'll be possible again!
Since I've been feeling optimistic I was planning on buying tickets for March-April but then I thought maybe I'm getting ahead of myself and it's still too soon. I'd love to get your opinion on this.
Thank you so much for the awesome videos!! Keep them coming please!
Alex explains the real Japan border and tourism situation in only 5 minutes. A fraction of the time than that of John Daub, who needs at least 30 minutes to discuss the same points. So, Alex saves the viewer 25 minutes of their time.
It is obvious that Japan's fortress against Covid will fall like a house of cards as we draw closer to the end of 2022. As, let us be honest, these empty Covid measures exist just to allay the unfounded fears of the less sophisticated and cosmopolitan segment of Japanese society.
It is my feeling that ski and snowboarding enthusiasts will be freely able to visit the awesome Japanese Hokkaido and Nagano ski resorts for the upcoming winter of 2022-23. The sooner the Japanese ease their borders, the more tourism revenue they will make for the season.

Do you think youβd have to book accommodation through agent or just the flight?
My man Alex with another fantastic update. This looks good. I didn't think the Japan government would make another change so quickly but it looks like they're finally just going to accept that COVID will be there whether you close the borders or not. .May 2023 is still alive πππΏ
