If you can't afford insurance you can't afford to travel. It's not just getting sick if you get hurt you could be left with loads of debt
Amazed that you don't have travel insurance. Taking Vitamin C and other supplements won't help if you get into a serious accident and require extensive surgery and hospitalization. For sure hospitals in Asia are much cheaper than in the west but a long hospitalization can still cost a small fortune. Also what if you need to be evacuated by Air Ambulance? What if you get seriously ill or injured in Europe? Imagine how much a hospital stay per day would cost in Europe.
Vit D3, magnesium, zinc….keep your immune system strong and ready to take on illness before it develops into a real life changer. Of course plenty of sleep.

Can you please please share which travel insurance you use ? You mentioned $20 or $30 per month – That is super cheap. When I had folks coming over to the US I spent $80 and that too with lot of preconditions and a sizeable deductible. Thanks in advance for your reply. A suggestion for your UK travels is to visit York (loads to do there) and then go on to the North Yorkshire Moors and ride on the old fashioned steam train from Pickering to Whitby https://www.nymr.co.uk/ Whitby is THE best place in the country for fish and chips! It's also famous for where Bram Stoker wrote Dracula and if you are there at the end of October they have a Goth weekend which is a sight to see, everyone dresses up http://www.whitbygothweekend.co.uk/

Ash is beautiful with or without makeup and even when she is sick. I just want to know how do you guys overcome jetlag especially with the different timezone and weather in every country you visited.
On the hikes I do, travel insurance is a must. If anything would have happend to me on the last one in the wilderness of northern norway, a full blown search and rescue would have been launchend, and that alone would completely ruin me financially. There are so many reasons to have insurance, medically in the places you have been there are bugs and diseases that can be fatal if not treated. You also can't control other people's driving, knowing you weren't insured in Bali or India gives me chills. Very irresponsible, you should value each other more

Guys, you need travel insurance! I got in a dog sledding accident last year and my travel insurance covered everything medical (my knee was absolutely wrecked, think torn MCL and ACL) and even paid for my 7-14mm lens to be fixed (it landed on a rock) – seriously, you need insurance!
Load up on lemons. Does wonders for colds!
Very silly to travel without insurance. We have cover even within Europe where there is generally some sort of pretty good reciprocal health care. You could beggar yourselves and your loved ones in the case of a serious incident needing repatriation. If you are in extremis you need someone with experience and local knowledge to manage the situation for the best possible outcome. And for anyone travelling thinking they can sponge off other countries Universal health care, shame on you.
If you look up the original Latin name of a sickness many doctors and pharmacies should understand as most western languages have a science base in old latin.
In U.K. go to Norwich and North norfolk coast

If you guys are coming to the UK – I am here now 🙂 Hope to meet up with you guys ar some point as our itinerary which I was going to send Ashley got incredibly mixed up and changed as we ALSO got sick with a really bad flu cold whilst on our road trip to Wales and N. England lol – so can definitely relate there! Haha! We are still getting over it a week later. Had to cut trip short because of it and come back to inlaws to rest as was very exhausted by the end of it.
We have been to see Conwy and Cearnarfon castle in wales which I totally recommend as it is wonderful there and very historical and picturesque 😀
Just went to Warwick Castle yesterday – great experience all except for getting locked litterally in the tower by accident after 4pm as the staff member didn't warn us we had to go all the way up the highest tower and back down again to get out of there lol!!! That needless to say was an adventure of a lifetime lol.
All aside that a very stunning and beautiful castle 😀 haha… they are only open from like 8-4pm so you need to check times on line as well – rookie mistake haha!
