The Imperial Palace is the main residence of the Emperor of Japan. It is located in central Tokyo, on the site where Edo Castle once stood before it was destroyed during World War II. The palace’s grounds cover 83 hectares (207 acres) which include buildings like:

– The Kyūden (Imperial Palace Office Building)
– The Inner Court Yard
– The Outer Court Yard – The East Gardens
