Life doesn’t always go to plan, so when bears and other things foiled our plans to visit one of Hokkaido’s most beautiful wetlands, we embraced the bumps in the road that are all part of vanlife in Japan and set out on a spontaneous adventure to the northernmost point in Japan known as Cape Soya (Soyamisaki). Buckle yourself in for a 5 hour road trip with Japanese campsites, crazy roadside station features, Hokkaido exclusive conbini food hauls, stunning inaka (countryside) scenery, Hokkaido wildlife, and (what feels like) one of our biggest Japan vanlife achievements yet!

May you have many north to celebrate. Omedetou.

Those unexpected detours always wind up being the most interesting and fun, because it's something you never expected. 💕
We know the feeling, our plans have changed so many times while traveling here in Hokkaido. Have you guys seen any bears yet? We only see many foxes. You’re lucky to see an eagle though. We haven’t seen one close yet.
Kiwi had very naturalistic make up in this video , almost Korean style, looked very nice
Sometimes unexpected events might happen in the way, but it doesn't affect the entire van tour.
Bears giant birds dragons and dinosaurs – Hakkaido truly is the mythical land of the north!
A good day for driving at least! Hokkaido is really beautiful even from the road.
I enjoyed this new style of vlogging from you guys. Extended time and much of the interaction seemed more spontaneous and just goofing around was fun to watch
"I've never seen so much nothing"… Aussies: "Hehe, hold my beer…"
A country s territory extends twelve nautical miles if they have a coastline so technically the Northern most pt of Japan is somewhere off into the ocean you were staring at
From the thumbnail I thought you guys had run over a Bear or been mauled by one 😬
