We can’t believe we have finally found and bought a campervan in the USA (without seeing it) and now vanlife in the USA can begin!
Our plan is to use this RV as our American holiday home on wheels and do a big USA road trip EVERY YEAR! In this travel video, we enjoy our last day in NYC before jumping on a flight to Michigan.. where we get to pick up the new campervan that we bought and officially move in!

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Welcome to the official Travel Beans YouTube channel! On this channel, you’ll find a variety of travel and vlog content, in which you’ll see us in places like Thailand, Japan, USA, Slovenia, and more.

In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!

After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.

Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

  1. In addition to the trauma you experienced, inspirational to say the least for you to keep going, thank you!

  2. I enjoy the content, but is there any need for advertising crap products. Athletic green is rubbish and not worth the cost when actual water will do you better

  3. Its a big thanks to Dr oba herbal medication on YouTube who got me me cured completely from herpes virus..

  4. Frank was a Firestarter 🔥
So name him Keith who is sadly no longer with us. 💧💙
    Beautiful van. Have fun ✨️

  5. If you’re on Lake Erie, you must visit the Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH. It the best one in OH and right on n the Lake. I’m glad to see things are looking up. MI is a wonder place to explore. Go up North to Mackiaw Island. Take the bridge to Canada. So beautiful up there.

  6. Wow. D&L looks like a great place to buy a van! What a charming couple. Welcome back to the US. You two make me proud to be of Brit heritage. My Mum was from South Wales.

  7. WOW FANTASTIC. What a great "new" home on wheels. So well presented to you. Trust the time all will go so well. It is your Phoenix moment! HEY …that the name for your home. Rising up from the flames stronger and better than ever. Go for it folks. Cant wait to follow your adventures in her! Go Phoenix

  8. I just stumbled on your channel. It’s always fun and uplifting. So much positivity and I’m also kinda jealous of your camper van lifestyle. Stay safe!!

  9. Congratulations its a nice comfy reliable van enjoy your trips looking forward to a great adventure you two… emma is so happy ride safe always alex and emma

  10. So happy for the Beans! Can't wait for your new adventures in the USA! You could name your new van "Phoenix"–the bird that symbolizes new beginnings–rising from the ashes.

  11. The signs in the bathroom are part of the health code if you don't have it up you get points taken away

  12. While you’re in West Michigan you should be sure and stay through Thursday Night. Drive N. to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes area and you will have a special treat because the Northern Lights are expected!! That’s one of Nature’s shows that you rarely get to see this far S. but it happens w/great regularity here in Michigan!! Wish I were able to be your guide through our great state!! Love the Camper Van!!

  13. Oh my God! That explains so much. I thought the employees were supposed to ‘come wash MY hands’. I waited and waited, finally gave up and just washed them myself. Now I know why no one came, and why the people in the stores always looked at me funny when I complained!

  14. Sorry guys, but your now officially mopar maniacs! If you didn't know, anything chrysler, dodge, plymouth, jeep is also known as a mopar! Very nice van, love the colors, interior and cabin layout really scored on this one. Few reasons not a fan of the spare tire being in front. First, contrary to the sellers remarks, it's blocking more than half the air flow over the radiator, ac condenser and optional transmission oil cooler. Based on your VIN (from the sellers website) your van has option: NHBS Auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler. Maximum air flow over this cooler is essential to keep transmission fluid cool and hence the transmission itself greatly extending the life. The dodge 46RE transmission coded: DGTS 4-Spd. Automatic 46RE Transmission with coded: DHAP Lock-Up Torque Converter in your van is good transmission but known to wear out prematurely if not properly maintained. Seller did not mention what time of year and if van was fully loaded when trip was made. Texas in summer as you know, temps get much higher unlike the far north like michigan where temps aren't much an issue even with partially blocked intakes. Temps are getting cooler i'm sure it's fine, just IMHO. Second, will directly affect your gas mileage pushing that large flat surface through the air rather than flowing over the somewhat air dynamic hood and bumper. I'm purchasing my own 1999 dodge Xplorer RV this friday, nearly identical drivetrain as yours. I'll do a complete walk through of these features i've mentioned, do's and don'ts of proper maintenance of any dodge or other petrol type rv vans. So happy for you, happy Rving!

  15. Just for your information, even though you did not take my advice, it does appear that you were lucky enough to find a reputable dealer in Michigan of which, I am sure there are many. Having said that, I must say that you seem to have found a great Class B to purchase from what appears to be a very reputable gentleman which is of course, very important.

For the record, my wife and I, having lived in England in the late 50s/early 60s and having visited several times since, would love to meet you and take you to dinner if you ever visit Las Vegas, Nevada. As we are retired, we are not able to participate as Patreons but we can certainly host you and would love to do so, for a nice dinner.

  16. Just found you guys a few weeks ago! Wish you the best and look forward to your adventures!! I vote Sophie!!
