Japanese Baseball is Better than North American Baseball! – Destination Jackson

This week in Japan I try my hand as a baseball commentator while watching the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks take on the Rakuten Golden Eagles. I discover that North American baseball can learn a thing or two about fan experience!

  1. The fans really definitely get more into it than I've seen on US TV. Glad to see your opinion on both countries though!
Really loved the chants of the away team in my experience. Really fun experience!!
    Great video! Keep it up!

  2. you are very annoying.. like why even go if you are just gonna critique it and complain like a child

  3. don't review a baseball game if you don't enjoy baseball. you are by far the most annoying youtuber i have personally witnessed.

  4. You're annoying and cringeworthy. This is baseball. If you wanted to watch hockey go to Russia. And you don't "look away" and miss a homerun, either. You know when there's a homerun by the crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd even if you didn't actually see the batter hit the ball. You know when it's happening and you can still catch the flight of the ball.

  5. What I love about traveling in general, you get so entwined with the local culture, that you can spot an American easily. And it's fun when we spot each other. I've noticed Americans tend to be very goofy people. Cameras were going around the crowd in Yokohama, when of course, a fat american dude was rubbing his stomach for the camera. Loved it. Toward the end though, as the Baystar closer was shutting down the game, we were the only pricks in our section standing up for the final out. No one else did it, and finally, i told our guys, "Yeah we better just sit" Honestly Japanese fans do most things waaaay better than we do in the US(hell even British fans that i've met in San Diego do it right) , but there are somethings they can work on…their fandom is more organized, but still lacks something.
