A journey from Japan’s Kyoto city to Kyoto by the sea, by limited express train and Brompton folding bicycle. I start at Kyoto station, passing Arashiyama before getting off at Toyooka station. After a mishap with the connection, I ride the Brompton up to Kumihama town, before cycling around Kumihama Bay on the way to the end point, Shotenkyo Beach. Enjoy another side of Kyoto Prefecture and the very best of the countryside in Japan.
