One our annual UK trip we always book a day at @Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We specifically during the week when the kids are still in school to avoid the crowds.
As soon as we arrived at the park, we knew there was something going on, tons of school parties and crowds waiting to get in. We paid 70 pounds for our two tickets and hoped to get on most of the rides, that was not to be the case.
The park was rammed, with most waits being over an hour, regardless of what the online wait times indicated. Hundreds and hundreds of young kids running wild, cutting in lines and charging into you while walking. You will see from the vlog we managed to do only two rides then left the park because of the crowds and wait times.
Mrs. TPB needed a beer to recover so we headed directly to the Velvet Coaster a Wetherspoons pub for a bit of peace. We then went for a walk on the South Pier to check out bars, rides and prices as an alternative to the main Park. 70 pounds for two rides has made us think if we skip the park on our next trip.

Blackpool or Orlando……Vote Now……. 1 for Blackpool 2 for Orlando… remember Blackpool when you paid for each ride separately.
Pleasure Beach is defo no competition for anything stateside.
I personally can't stand Blackpool, been several times now and just never seen the appeal.

Maybe all the kids were on school trips as we broke up week after you filmed this , our school took the junior kids there that week, carnt believe they charge to get in pleasure beach now back in my day you could just walk round free. I loved Noah’s ark ride at least they kept part of it.
Scots schools broke off very beginning of July and go back next week

It’s become really common for loads of school ‘well done’ trips to happen towards end of summer term. It has meant it has become just about the worst time of year to go, probably worse than actual summer school holidays. However if you wait until about 3 then they tend to have been taken back to school.

Great video as usual . For the first time this year my son.. who goes to a high school in Lostock Hall had their end of term day out at the pleasure beach this year , I expect other schools had the same idea. Hope you had a fab trip over xx

I was in a Spoons in York today.Such good value,small scampi,chips ,mushy peas and a pint of lager for about £8.95 .
Schools often do day trips to theme parks in the last week or two before summer holidays so that may be why a week day in July is so busy. The school I work at used to do Alton Towers mid – July each year for 4 year groups, about 400 15 – 18 year olds.

Kids ‘oop north’ break up for the summer around July 21st so July & probably the last week of June are school trip central. Back first week in September around the 6th & then they break for a week at the end of October for Halloween so the U.K. parks tend to be busy then too. Kids in Scotland break earlier than in England (a week or two before the 21st) but they go back earlier.

My Daughters school had a end of year trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach the week of the 11th July, as did a few schools in Wigan xx sorry it wasn’t a great experience this time round xx
BPB looked really busy but the weather definitely improved as the day went on.

I wish Maxine had put a safety pin in the back of her shirt to keep it from falling off and showing her bra strap. it was bothering me more that she kept having to mess with it. lol im 48 i understand the need to keep it covered but i have found a safety pin in the back of the shirt just make the neck a bit smaller will do wonders! 🙂 also want make her day worse by having to mess with it!

From what I've heard the parks been pretty dead all year so it's a shame you went in school trip season. Hopefully they get Valhalla open soon too.
Scottish Schools break up end of June so could have been why it was busy.

Didn't sell Blackpool very well that video. I am afraid you have to expect lots of children at a Theme Park in summer. Prefer far more upbeat videos than this though ………. 🙂

When we went to the Pleasure beach, a lot of rides kept breaking down and shutting. And how can you say you're old gits! You do Velocicoaster with your arms up….crazy!

Who buys those chunks of metal from the rides I wonder,imagine walking around blackpool with a big rusty chunk of steel in your backpack,no thanks,i'd rather just buy at shirt,absolutely love Blackpool though,I'm thinking of going in September when kids are back to school.
Used to go to Blackpool when I was a kid and it was usually on school trip fromliverpool . I'm your age now and wouldn't give it a 2nd thought to go there these days , but everyone is different and nostalgia plays a big part for revisiting . I watch most of your vlogs and what stood out for me this time , was how vocal , more involved / happier , Max seemed 🤔

Must admit I would not do rides in Blackpool as no where as good as Florida but would like to go to the place they film Strictly. Our pier at Southend doesn’t have rides but is the longest in the world
Although it costs more (and divides opinion) one way to ensure maximum ride count on busy days is to buy Speedy Pass. I'm an infrequent park visitor and have to travel a fair distance to get there, so the extra cost is justified for me as it means I'll ride maybe 20-25 times as opposed to 4-6 times if the queues are long.
