  1. Hi. Thanks for the update. But Japan never opened since 2020 . Public opinion can be directed by passing right instructions about public safety measures. But knowing Japanese way of doing things. Most likely Japan will reopen after covid is completely gone. Or a miracle cure is found

  2. I know this is the bitter fact for me. I and my husband have been separated since we got married in 2019. Although my husband is an indonesian who has been working in japan since 2012. Just before we are really ready to settle down for few years in japan then covid hits the world. My COE issued in march 2021 and I know I've been waiting for a year now. I don't know what should we do?. Should my husbad had to give up in japan then come back to our hometown, because we can't live a part. 🥺😭. This is the reality for all people around the world who wish to enter japan. But, I am really sad and feel so anxious for this 2 years. Because I was felt so excited when I thought I would come to japan very soon, but it doesn't come true for years now.

  3. Thank you very much for this video ! I want to come studying Japanese in Tokyo in octobre, maybe since that the boarders will be open to students
    I hope so !

  4. I want to come and experience a traditional ryoken and go gachapon shopping. I want to stay in a capsule hotel so bad. I'm hoping September this year they will ease restrictions 🙏

  5. What about couples that have Japanese fiance???? How can we get married then? When is that going to happen? Most of us, our fiance can get out of Japan duo to their job because if they get out they will get fired!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭

  6. if border opening depends on public opinion then the borders will never open, Japanese people want covid to be over before any foreigners are allowed back in, that won't happen for a very long time.

  7. Is it fair in your opinion, that japanese people are allowed to come and study/work in our countries, but we are not allowed to come, even if we are in the need to?

  8. I’m really scared for the Japanese people and their economy if they keep deciding to keep bans for another year or more if the rest of the world starts opening up… scared they will really screw themselves over.

  9. Considering that every other country that is claiming to believe in science is panicking over Omicron, I couldn't imagine Japan being the ones to use their brains this time. Denmark recently got a Omicron mutation too that is spreading, causing even more panic and caution even though everything about it seems to be similar to the regular variant. And since this keeps happening, I doubt Japan's going to calm down soon.

  10. Next friday my wife in japan is going to apply visa for me…is it possible to apply..if socan i get coe..i m from nepal….please tell me….

  11. I understand wanting to reduce casualties but surely allowing health care workers to apply for visas would help. I'm a nursing assistant and although I know minimal Japanese (N4 level) I would move and help in Japanese hospitals if I was given the chance. I think this would help with the hospital issue, there are many health care workers that would like to come to Japan and help but can't come.

  12. Will Prime Minister Kishida give into all the external and internal pressure from the businesses/schools inside and outside Japan?

  13. Really cant blame Japan for not wanting anyone in right now, as much as i wanted to go to Japan this year, look at the mess America is right now its a joke living here, hospitals are beyond full of sick people. Covid rates through the roof. That American way of thinking has dragged this country into a terrible recession. I see walk through videos of streets in Japan and its amazing how respectful people are wearing masks , keeping things clean , it truly is amazing.

  14. I was blinded for awhile now with several confusing news articles, but thankfully this video came up to me. Thank you for this! I can finally say I am not going this year and will plan on it some other time. So many misleading videos about reopenings….

  15. I hope I can be there in July 2022. I've always wanted to experience a Japanese summer festival. Thank you so much for this video. Greetings from Mexico!

  16. I see still not allowing processing of new required 'employer screening certificates'. Seems no reason not to at least progress these whIle everyone waits for border restrictions to lift. Instead it will cause another procedural delay even after they reopen. How does stopping this part of the process manage covid risk?

  17. Its true that the people turning a blind eye to the issues regarding the travel ban and other social issues especially when the current PM is supposedly listening to their voice the most is not good. I understand sticking out and confronting problems directly in Japan is traditionally a bad thing. However, I think that people actively communicating with the government by more than just voting alone is very important. Nothing changes if people do not actively communicate with their government. While I am disappointed in the current travel ban, and especially dissappointed in the inconvenience to international workers, students, as well as couples i still expect it to be for a while. Sometimes, i worry that it will be forever because what happens when another new strain of covid is discovered? My guess is extended travel restrictions. That may go on for years. As always, thank you so much for sharing the news and your opinions with us.

  18. I’m a student who is going to enroll to an exchange program for a year in Japan. Do you think there is hope to study over there this year?

  19. Some countries just do COVID-19 testing and quarantine. When will that happen to Japan for tourism etc.?🤷🏻‍♂️🤔😎✌️

  20. I will say for students and workers going to japan is going to be hard I think but I know jet is still doing interviews and my friend actually got accepted and is scheduled to go their in I believe September of this year, and if you have a situation like I do, I was able to get a spouse visa during this time. Also another one of my friends is getting his ancestry visa. There are some ways to still go but it is very very difficult right now

  21. My question is how will the Japanese people feel about foreigners when we are allowed back in? Will they feel they were better off with the boaders closed? Will they welcome us back with open arms. This pandemic has changed the lives and minds of some many people. I'm just afaid that when Japan does open back up we won't be welcome due to paranoia. Thank you for your time.

  22. If Japan wont open in April, May at most, it will be straight out laughed by everyone.

  23. One day I got a chance of talking with a Japanese man because he wanted us to talk because he knew English which made it easy for us, I asked him about the everyday reported covid numbers, he strongly said it's a LIE, the government is lieing , they are just in there games which makes us to suffer, according to the numbers they report in a week they even exceed the population of Japan which means that the all Japan is sick? It's a lie…I looked at how the guy talked and I felt what they pass through because they don't have a freedom of voice..other thing he said that the government report covid cases instead of omicron yet this omicron is like influenza which can be dealt with with out locking the country down..for sure this government is having its political issues this is totally unfair

  24. sir i have a question regarding the expiration of my residence card last march 2020 but my re entry will expire this march 14 2022 my question is if i return to japan this month can i enter japan? thank you very much

  25. Thank you for the information. I still planning to visit Japan in October, so hopefully things will change enough to fly in as a tourist. I have already postponed my trip 4 times 🥲

  26. Countries should ban travelers from japan, play with them with the same toys.
That's how it's going to work.

  27. God loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone…" Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent.

  28. I'm in the process of booking a flight to stay in Sapporo for less than 3 weeks. My wife and son are living there. I was there in 2019 for our son's birth but haven't been able to visit back since COVID. Now that there's 3 day quarantine I can afford to visit without issues at my work. Can you tell me what to expect on arrival? I understand about COVID testing before arrival, but I'm not clear on my status for entry being married to a Japanese national, and whether I can quarantine at her family's residence in Sapporo or whether that's only done near Narita. I'm looking at a flight with transfer to Shinchitose, but clearly when quarantining in Tokyo for 3 days I would need a different flight booked to transfer.
Sorry for my complex question and lack of further details, but I greatly appreciate the info you are sharing. I miss my wife and son so much and am desperate to see them but I don't want to make things complicated for myself and add to the madness over there. My worst fear is using my vacation time and buying a ticket only to be sent back home without seeing my family.
Thank you for reading and bless you for any reasonable response.
