Thanks for the update, but the issue is, every countries covid rates are going higher. I am in Australia and our Cases have started to Rise up once again, However our country has decided to keep open either way, otherwise it will hurt the economy. I understand that Japan has the Oldest people in the world. But like how long do they plan to be closed off. like is this ever good for Japan.
The Yen is getting worse (which is a good thing for foreigners) but is it a good think for the Japanese People, when they decide to travel overseas.
The longer they keep close, the worse it will get.. Anyways that is my Rant.
We neeed to boycott Japanese from entering our countries if they are not allowing us to go in but have the balls to go everywhere else
Unpredicted but as expected. Only real surprise is the not going backwards part. Still, at this point it’s just people who don’t care and don’t know better.
Here’s the thing, I can discriminate and call out the boomers of Japan but the reality is, I had to run an errand in Hollywood the other day and what do I see? A group of Japanese seniors, at least at their 70s just enjoying the tourist side of the US.
I could not help myself but strike a conversation and popped the question: “Do you think it’s right that I cannot travel to your country as a solo tourist,” and to my surprise they said “talk to the government and the xenophobic people who just don’t want foreigners. Many people in Japan are starting to move on, just wear a mask and you’ll be fine.”
I was in a state of shock, but between those people and the people I play games with online, I want to say that at least some people ARE ready to move on.
I think the only real issue here was A) death of Abe and B) case suddenly going up during the election that may leave a bad taste in the people’s mouth.
They can’t blame foreigners at this point, as too few are getting in, but I would be surprised if people start to blame other Japanese for leaving the country and “bringing back the virus,” but I would assume at the end of the month case will be on the decline again and the government can continue according to plan.
I’ll still have to cancel my plans at this point though. The airline just rescheduled my flight a week later and that right there is the green light to cancel the flight with no penalty. This will be the reality for the rest of summer it seems.

Thanks for the updates Nate! Looking lean bro 💪🏽
I am just glad things aren’t going backwards. 😅 But applying for a visa in the meantime. Don’t want to wait for the whims of the government to push back my Sept / Oct trip again. Thanks as always for the great updates, Nathan and have fun at the wedding!! 🫶
I’m not taking anymore BS shots. I already did one booster I’m done with this Covid as the rest of the world is except for Japanese government.
This is so dumb. They are gonna do restrictions on a virus that kills less then the flu. Infections are up in America, Canada, and UK, yet you don’t see them locking up again. This Japanese government Kishida are full of crap.
Goodness sakes.
Sorry to hear Japanese is still closed.
I'm also hearing information about kishida giving warning about covid. They seem to be rethinking opening the borders sadly.
To everyone that is waiting to come, it was worth the wait. I waited two years and I absolutely love living here.
Thanks for the update. Here in my country Brazil, we have started 4th dose of vacination is on the way, right now adults with 40 years or more are the target, and soon the 30's should be allowed. On the younger side they already reveive the 3rd dose. Also, my 5th dose are already schedule in 4 months.

Who tf cares at this point. Racist japan wants to remain shut to gaijins and that’s fine by me at this point. Let them keep from entering. Let the Yen continue to Burn to The Ground and let their country suffer. I pray to god that their Yen becomes practically worthless and hits $1 to 300 Yen. F them at this point.
Looks like somebody wants to keep the white People in Europe and North America, and the non-white out 🤣
When japan does plan to reopen to independent tourists, how much notice is it likely to give. I'm booked for late October and I'm planning to make final decision on September 1st as I need to finalise plans regardless
Ninja Monkey, Honest question. Do you actualy think Most people in Japan believe this covid rubbsih and do YOU ACTUALLY think those are genuine numbers.
To me its all about control and destruction of the economy.
Have to say the enthusiasm for re-visiting Japan is waning fast; learned the language, never been infected or tested positive and taken all the bloody shots under the sun and it's meaningless.
Mid term election in November the USA VIRUS is the best friend of corrupt autocrats DEADLY EVIL PSYCOPHATS democrats
Where I live, most of the population got 3 shots and people over 65 are getting their 4th but Covid is still rampant, i got it for the first time just few weeks ago 😛 All restrictions are being removed now and we try to live normally. There is no stopping of this virus, so might as well learn how to live with it. Hopefully Japan will realise this soon.
♥ there are no hands .)
I’ll take My money else where waited long enough . Such a backwards country
I’ll take My money else where waited long enough . Such a backwards country
I guess they will blame foreigners on this latest surge and keep it closed.
Every country has a big boom of Covid cases. Japan has its borders closed and still has more cases than other countries. Closing the borders does not help.
With these numbers I feel like they probably have more deadly cases of normal flu and they just don't want to open the country
❤️❤️(Great video nevertheless)
I am planning to travel to Japan in 2 years will everything be all good?
Idk, I think the golden age of travel to japan is over with this new minister.😕
It’s getting to the point where people just give up on Japan and go elsewhere. Japan is ultimately the losers where those tourist $$ go to another country
The COVID cases are coming from within not from tourists when is Japan going to understand that asking foreigners to be negative and vaccinated is more protection than their current citizens
The fact Japanese citizens can travel to any country without restrictions while Japan remains firmly closed to foreigners continues to be an act of disrespect and other countries are not letting this disparity go without repercussions. As an example, foreign investors in G7 counties have expressed doubts in their ability to invest in Japanese industries and businesses due to the ongoing travel restrictions.
Aside from the self-inflicted damage to the tourism industry, Japan will continue to see their global influence diminish if the current situation does not change quickly.

probably might remain closed for centuries just like during the sengkoku period. So many japanese are paranoid of foreigners. in all of the centuries it has not changed one bit. So much xenophobia and racism here!
Respect to the people, but more I watch videos about Japan, more I realize what a shit hole Japan is.
Im going to Singapore better than Japan
💛🙌 ok being a little passive agressive w/ the emoji there – but thanks for keeping us apprised even if this is 'no news'
📢japan is becoming one of the poorest society in asia.
