Today we take a tour of the extremely popular Japan Pavilion at Expo 2020. After making a virtual reservation using the Expo App, we waste no time in queue, and are escorted to the assembly room where we are handed our bespoke Sony smart phones.
Described as a once-only Sony Japan mobile experiences is created from each unique visitor activity as we move throughout the guided experience. These bespoke smartphones lent out to visitors will keep track of what we showed interest in, and the data will be used to create a wonderful finale specific to that day and time.
A diverse range of Japanese content is showcased throughout the pavilion, with cutting-edge technologies, AI generated content, and delicate sculptures along with immersive realms of mist and light. Video projections in a space filled with cool, ultra-fine mist help visualize three-dimensional art in a truly immersive experience unlike any other pavilion at Expo.
The exhibits intend to create new interactions of ideas that could lead to a better future and also be encouraged to post your ideas, paving the way for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. For a long time, encounters with external influences have played a key role in the development of Japan. Moving towards the future, Japan will continue to be a place where ideas meet.

It was nearly impossible to get a ticket to the Japan pavilion. Thanks for the tour!
The origami facade and entryway is so beautiful. Especially that view at 29.44 with that reflective pond and mico housing structure.
From the original concept of the interactive experience to the level of execution is phenomenal. Amazing walk and great work Japan!
