Introducing CanguRo, three-wheeled robot

Chiba Institute of Technology unveiled a transformable machine that can play dual roles — as both a robot, fused with artificial intelligence technologies, and a vehicle to enhance personal mobility — on July 3, 2018, at its Tokyo Skytree campus.

  1. I can see no practical application for this; it follows you around…where? On stages in large halls, sure, but in an actual home or traversing stairs, the obstacles will make this platform untenable. Does anybody need an electric scooter that uses AI to talk? We have computers in our pockets for that.

  2. Thank you for sharing. I would be happy to support the development being for four years proactive clean electromobility user, teacher and developer myself building the global E-MOTION network. CanguRo is great but need to add or change few features to be fully applicable in multiple environments. At the same time, the affordable model should be developed to finance the development by the sales.

  3. Will they come with programmed obsolescence? Will they last decades? or will they need constant maintenance? – Also it does not look fit for outdoors

  4. I need something like thi so badly right now and have for a few years. I can't walk without triggering agonizing pain. I wont take drugs, I wont allow destructive surgeries. I am in college and intend to transfer to a major University in a year and I am interested in doing work on the stage in theater and would not mind being in a marching band again. But now I can;t walk around the block. really not even to mailbox. I spent the afternoon looking at bicycles, hoping to find one that I could use to get around. I have a wheelchair but it is old and clunky and I can not easily get it in and out of my car by myself. I was looking for a folding bike. By the time I got to Wal Mart after going to two stores that had bikes and it was crowded there and all their electric carts were in use and I could not even find a bench to sit on, I started crying and still have not been able to stop. I have worked all summer as an indi author and artist and made all of 23 cents. Why mylife has taken this turn I do not understand. But I know I am not ready to lay down and die as society would dictate at my age. I have a lot I want to do and a lot of creativity and ideas I hope to see put into practice. I am very interested in robotics and I alwas have been but I am in a position now of enforced helplessness and bit of a victim of financial abuse. I hope these cangoros come down in price real fast through mass productioin or something. gotta stop now too much crying makes it hard to see to type

  5. 1. es de bateria. cuanto tarda la carga y en uso?
    2. las llantas tienen camara o es plastico?
    3. se deberia desbloquear por huella.
    4. cuantos kilos soporta
    5. Aaahh me acabo de enamorar

  6. If this was the same size as a motorcycle, enclosed and featured a single seat it could be a replacement for taxis?
Small, strong intelligent vehicles, like a pod, could potentially replace all vehicles?
Combine an egg with a motorcycle and make it self driving and unable to crash and that vehicle will revolutionise transportation.
