  1. I wanted to like matcha because it’s so healthy, I hate it with a passion but watching the tea ceremony is so relaxing and inspire serenity and peace. And since most comments are about Satoshi’s hats I really believe he looks more distinguished and younger without the hat. Everyone has insecurities though, even if they’re not justified, happy to see Satoshi in videos with or without the hats❤️

  2. Great video!!! I've been to Uji once but that was just for the summer fireworks festival so never got to explore the tea shops, cafes and the tea farms. But I will next time I'm in the area.
I had the luck that my host mother when I came to Japan for the first time is versed in the tea ceremony but I never manage to drink the thick matcha; it's too thick and I have problems swallowing it. I'll check out the website of his store later 🙂

  3. Love it that Satoshi was brave enough to film without a hat and he looks awesome!!

  4. I used to run a tearoom in the States. This was a wonderful vlog. It enhanced my already knowledge of Japanese tea. Appreciation is immense for how this is done, thank you for giving me even more knowledge in choosing my green tea!

  5. As a lover of tea and culture of Japan, this video was really impressive to me. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and letting me learn something new 🥰.

  6. I love how he discussed the Tea Ceremony and it is very informative. I have learned a lot. I love teas and this made me appreciate drinking teas more.

  7. Thanks to this video I now know Japanese Studies is called "Japanology" in Belgium.

  8. Very interesting. I'm understanding better about the differences between sencha, matcha, ocha, hojicha and oolong. It is a beautiful area. Loved seeing Satoshi in a suit. Did Shinichi wear one too? Looking forward to more Kyoto videos.

  9. Loved it, and Satoshi is completely right, about feeling connected with the Universe, as the tea ceremony, is all about being in the moment, just like mindfulness and meditation. Greetings and love from London, England ❤

  10. Hello Shinichi and Satoshi. Thank you very much for this video. I'm appreciated it very much. I think the atmosphere during the teaceremony is peaceful and serene. I hope I can go to a teaceremony once.😘

  11. I really like how japanese rooms that are styled in a traditional way look really modern and beautiful compared to european traditional rooms. Like, it looks elegant and comfortable. If you go into an old-timey german house, you'll find big, heavy, dark furniture and carpets, and often that makes it feel stuffy and uncomfortable.

  12. Such a beautiful and informative video, guys! Thank you so much for sharing this special part of Japanese culture with us <3

  13. I participated in 2 tea ceremonies-my now sister in law had it during my brother's and her's wedding and my cousin had it for hers. Very similar to Japanese tea ceremonies, if I remember correctly! Thanks for showing this Shinichi

  14. I agree that the heart of the producer is expressed in the product. Not just tea, but all food products.

  15. I have talked to some people over the years and a couple of them were my friends grandparents who use to live in Okinawa and they told me that in Okinawa they would sometimes do the tea ceremony when 2 people were in love with each other as a way to kind of seal their love for each other. I cant think of the words to use ither than seal their love so thats why i had to put it like that but in karate kid with Mr. Miyagi when they go to japan they actually do a part of the tea ceremony and they say part of why they sometimes did that.

  16. Loved this video, guys. The music, the shots, the story, this mans passion for what he does….a beautiful little documentary bite. Satoshi, I know this might not have been easy, but you look amazing!! <3

  17. I finally had a moment of mental clarity to catch up on some videos due to some personal news I have fallen behind.

Satoshi looked so handsome with his suit. Serenity was evident in his posture during the tea ceremony. I am glad he felt confident enough in to share with us a hatless Satoshi. I am humbled by his gesture. Embrace your whole person and give yourself the love from top to bottom. We are all beautiful in the eyes of the universe and what makes us different makes us unique. 💜💜🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈💯

  18. Hey, he's Belgian! 🙂
It's nice to see someone so passionate something.

  19. This is my first time seeing this video and I must say, it is very beautiful. The tea ceremony, the music.. everything. Thank you for sharing this! I loved it very much!

  20. amazing video, i learned so much ❤️ the tea master’s bowl was beautiful, it looks like a kintsugi bowl 😮 the closest i got to a real tea ceremony and the real matcha taste was a casual demonstration when we went to ippodo tea house in kyoto many years ago 🍵 also, satoshi looks so dapper in that suit! i can feel how peaceful it was through this video 😌

  21. I know how important people’s heart is for a perfect cup of tea. 💜 I am going to have a tea ceremony soon. Thank you !
