Today I stayed at a cheap capsule hotel for the first time in Tokyo, Japan. The hotel is called “9 Hours” because you can stay there over night, but technically you can check in at 2PM and must check out by 10AM so you have 20 hours to relax at this place. Everything about the hotel was very clean, stylish and futuristic looking. It’s the cheapest on the weekdays and the price goes up on the weekends so be careful! You can make a reservation at their official website.

■What was it like there
– I accidentally left my card key inside the locker and they immediately printed out a new card key for me
– It’s very loud to walk around with your shoes so changing into slippers are strongly suggested
– The capsule room looked futuristic and gave a Star Trek vibe
– There’s a cute, built in cafe on the first floor where you can grab breakfast, etc.
– Everything about this hotel was clean and no unnecessary features

■How to get to the hotel
– 2 minute walk from Suidobashi Station
