Set atop Mt Inazumi at 404 metres this ‘torii gate in the sky’ boasts epic views of Kanonji City and the majestic Seto Inland Sea. Part of Takaya Shrine in Kagawa Prefecture, it can be reached by ascending 270 stone steps from the main shrine below. ⛩️ The view is well worth the effort though!
TIP: Visit the shrine in the late afternoon so that you can take photos of the shrine and the sunset. Wear sensible shoes as mountain roads can be slippery. 🥾
