Katahara Onsen is a picturesque hot springs village in Aichi Prefecture, and it’s also one of the region’s top spots for hydrangea aficionados. Around 50,000 of the flowers are planted around the area, and an annual festival in celebration of them takes place in June. Katahara Onsen is also known for its fireflies, which you may be lucky enough to spot if you visit after dark. ✨️
